  • this will always be their best song

  • nice account name dude ... just sayin

  • nirvana wanna bees lame!!!!!!! YOU SUCK

  • first song, best song :)

  • @chriscross089 fact lol

  • we all have a history, grateful of that

  • WOW!!! hasn't Nicklback came a long way,, Still love them thou

    Best band ever!!!

  • what kind of toaster was this filmed on :D? just wondering.

  • thumps up if you are watching this in 2143.... Yes I'm from the Future!

  • at the beginning he reminds me of sirius black :D

  • I swear Chad Kroeger is the Kurt Cobain of Canada hahaha. This was the good hard rock Nickelback back in the 90's. This was more grunge rock when they first started. The reason Chad today changed his style of music and went more rock/pop today is to stay mainstream cause now today grunge rock, alternative and metal has died on mainstream. Its more underground now today. Chad wants to keep his fans and built more fans is the reason why his music now is corporate. Its about money to built fans.

  • I WHAT THE HESHER ALBUM WHERE I CANT GET IT?

  • @sdadsasadful Look for Curb. It included most (or all) of the songs from Hersher and some others. It was Nickelback's first full album. It is easier to find. I think it was only released in Canada, so if you're not from Canada, the best way would be to check Ebay or Amazon.

  • @odonnelljosh It was only available in Canada 1996-2002, but it's been internationally released since then.

  • @sdadsasadful i used to have it for sale on ebay , but that was a few years ago. it did sell for $200. and i paid two bucks for it at a flea market lol

  • Wow great :D

  • wow, first time i've heard this. looks like NB started out sorta grunge. nota bad song. just wish they would not have gone in the direction they did.

  • this is the real and good nickelback music not the crappy mainstream stuff where all they sing about is sex and drugs

  • /m/ NIRVANA,NICKELBACK,PEARL JAM,ALICE IN CHAINS,SOUNDGARDEN /m/

  • After hearing this, I'm even more disgusting by their newer music than I already was. SILVER SIDE UP was the beginning of the end.

  • This song reminds me Nirvana...

  • This song made me think of "Lithium" of Nirvana. I love Nirvana and I also love Nickelback.

  • favorite song of nickelback

  • Rare find , have not seen this in years , next challenge to anybody is find the original leader of men video , I have only seen it maybe 2 times when they first released the single

  • @BBB4416 It won't be a huge challenge to find Leader of Men. I have the Nickelback music video dvd, and its on there, so you should be able to find it pretty easily

  • @TNA796 Is the original and not the one were there in a recording studio for part of the video

the first leader of men video is very low budget and just before they signed there record deal same with the original " the state " cd has a different cover to it as the original Curb cd ( i have both originals )

  • @BBB4416 Ohh, I didn't know there was another one. I was talking about the one where their in the studio

  • @TNA796

I have only seen it maybe 2 or 3 times and it was just after the single was released and my guess it was just in Canada because when they signed with roadrunner they re released the state cd and made a higher budget video for leader of men and started getting promoted in the states

  • @BBB4416 so the year would be '99 right? You've got me interested haha. I'm startin to look for it myself lol.

  • @TNA796

either late 98 or early 99 cause the state cd I believe was released originally in late 98 or early 99, good luck with the search i have been looking for it for awhile i have a feeling it might be on of those videos that might not been seen again , if i rember right its a low budget video based on a house party or something

  • Kinda has a Nirvana sound to it IMO.

  • you know, if they still sounded like this....i wouldn't hate them now....this is grungey sounding..........i like it

  • @a7xfan66611 Their first album is my favourite because it was grungey, but later they commercialized and I don't like that at all, if they stayed like this it would be cool.

  • 1 word

    EPIC

  • This was there first song ever? SWEET!!!!

  • whaoooooo nice Mike hair style :D

  • Very nice!!!! :D

  • you are so fukin awesome

    thx 4 this vid

  • Awesome my favorite track off the CURB album

  • @k9iamnot and Hesher. it was so good it was used on two albums. :D

  • @k9iamnot HESHER

  • back when chad wanted to be kurt cobain rofl

  • @MrJhorsager Yeah, funny how you can go from a Kurt Cobain wannabe to a Jon Bon Jovi wannabe...

  • whoa 1990's music really was the worst...still fucking love nickleback though leader of men is there breakthrough hit

  • @Justeatmytoast ^This dude did it right. Except STP is awesome and Silverchair had one of the most underrated guitarists, especially for a fuckin 15 year old! The 90's SAVED music from hair metal hell lol!

  • @Revidescent84 What a crap. You have to feel the diffrence between grunge posers (Pearl Jam, Nickelback, STP, SIlverchair) and true grunge music (TAD, Mudhoney, early Nirvana, Soundgarden, Green River). To feel where's the line that makes this two types something diffrent. It's good he's underrated, because Silverchair was just a group of grungy posers playing some post-grunge shit with no true grunge spirit.

  • @Justeatmytoast Oh, I enjoy almost ANY grunge, purist, post-, or otherwise. I do draw the line on any of the 'grunge' produced after the '90s(Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Seether, etc) because it's horrible. I love me some Mother Love Bone as much as I do Candlebox or Seven Mary Three.

  • @Revidescent84 It would kinda suck to limit your palate to like 5 bands because they inspired a lot of people who are apparantly 'posers'. I mean, Chris Cornell made a shitty album with Timbaland! Kurt Cobain just ripped off the Pixies loud chorus-soft verse formula. So who's really gonna point fingers at 'posers'? It was originally an underground sound anyway to begin with, so technically any 'grunge' band who got played on MTV is a poser, right?

  • @Revidescent84 I hope you don't think I'm some troll starting shit, I just love a good music conversation with people with actual taste :) Basically, the real point was even though it's no less original than they are now, Nickleback was listenable at one point. Not stellar or particularly groundbreaking, but a helluva lot better than this party butt rock country crap now(You're Canadian, fuckers! lol) PS: Tad rocks, I happen to jam to "Inhaler" on my MP3 player constantly! :)

  • @Revidescent84 I don't accept that if someone's a teenager then his music is better than If he would be adult and play the same. If your music is awful then the age doesn't matter, it's awful, If you can't be TRUE rock'n'roll musician then you should play with your guys in garage and record some stuff only for your mom.

  • @Revidescent84 Yeah, because late Nirvana is just alternative rock.

  • a song that never really made it downunder, i never knew of nickelback till they released How you remind me, ten years ago now as a matter of fact!

  • @punji73 so here's to ten years of knowing nickelback!

  • Nickelback turned to shit after The Long Road.

  • Thumbs up if you came to hear old school nickelback after the announcement of the new album :)

  • lika nirvana song :)

  • 2 guys like bieber

  • muy buenos tiempos

ah the ninties what a time

  • ahhhh thank you!! finally found this!!!!

  • hey which drummer is that for nickelback then? brandon kroeger or mitch guindon?

  • wow Nirvanaback

  • good times. the ORIGINAL nickelback.

  • 1996 sure was a good year for Rock.

With Nickelback releasing both Hesher and Curb. But lets not forget about Load by Metallica, or Roots by Sepultura, and especially The Great Southern Trendkill by Pantera.

  • ahh, their good old songs...sure, the new one's are better, but this is also good.

  • hmmm i think i like their newer songs better:) this song is okay...
