  • My review for this video is thumbs down. It's obvious that you're supporting the Yelp! system; as if you're working for "your friend"; You're not helping the consumer or business owner. For me, watching this video was obnoxious, and it makes your own business look superficial and phoney.

  • Jane talks like a Valley Girl. "...it's very, kind of..."

  • Of course, most poor Yelp ratings come from businesses that aggressively suck treating people badly. Also, this video is annoying and that woman seems to be a monster.

  • I use Yelp when necessary, to praise or to warn people of really dangerous or unpleasant experiences. I love Yelp, but it's so easy to abuse.

  • yelp is bullshit. it's just that simple.

  • I know several companies that actually have a ton of good 5 star reviews but none of them show and yet they do show really old reviews and mostly bad. I thought maybe it was because the users were new or something but actually it doesn't seem to matter as some that show have 0 other reviews and others have a ton of reviews yet don't show except in the filter... seems shady

  • So bull. New people who try to Yelp and give you five stars for your business but no other businesses, most likely it will be questioned by Yelpers and it will get flagged for review. It's not yelp that's flagging and removing. It takes two. You need to have more than a few reviews to look legitimate otherwise you will get flagged for review. Don't get it twisted people.

  • I would like to join a law suit against Yelp.

Yelp has put a Very damaging comment on my buisness name in Seattle. When I tried to have this fraudulent comment removed the Yelp team "Locked"

my account so that I could not make a rebuttal or comment. Please contact me at CDenver11@yahoo.com for legal help.

  • NOT KOSHER

  • Your review filter is terrible!! It doesn't work at all, and being automated is a joke! Are you serious?? I have lots of positive, and not one positive review shows up. However I do have one fake negative review from my competition, and yes it stays. I was contacted, and it is a scam, Yelp will remove the negative, and leave positive if you pay per month. I stand by this.

  • The video could be shortened down to:

"If the person does make valid points, think about them and if you could make any improvements. If they don't make any valid points, get the fuck over it."

  • Almost convincing attempt to give the impression that Yelp helped resolve this matter yet after hearing the Yelp representative's response, she really didn't offer much in the way of a solution and if anything was rather vague. Guess that's why there are lawsuits against the company.

  • Currently we have 3 bad reviews and one good that are showing on Yelp. It seems like most of our customers are unhappy. When I log in I can see that we have 11 filtered good reviews. One of the bad reviews is from someone who has no friends and only one review. A couple of weeks ago we had 3 good and two bad showing. Yelp called to advertise with them. We chose not to and since then good disappeared and bad showed up... Interesting, isn't it?

  • @SSADINSKY Hmmm... that sounds super shady. Have you contacted them to talk to them about it?

  • @savorthesuccess of course. They say they have an automated filtering system and they don't do the review filtering manually. I did a search and there are thousands of claims for the same reason. But just think about it, review filtering? That is already shady. On what bases they would filter out any reviews. We have many customers that wrote us or called how happy they are with our product. We sent them to Yelp. None of their review shows up. However I have their emails...

  • @savorthesuccess @ssadinsky there is currently a class action lawsuit with yelp for this reason!

  • Great video Angela! I was contacted by Yelp to sign on to their "paid" program and they said that my competitors ads will be removed from my page if I pay. AND, if I pay, they will feature me on my competitors pages and get bad reviews removed???

    Are you paying?

    Blair

  • @arboristBlairGlenn Hey Blair! Hmmm... the first part seems kosher, the second part seems not so kosher. I was not paying up until now. I have signed up for one of their packages for three months (as of yesterday), so I will keep you posted. Are you planning on getting Yelp ads? Let me know how that works out.

  • I think that Yelp is delusional in thinking its filtering system can conclude which reviews are legitimate or not. (either good or bad) I see that they tend to keep the bad reviews and filter out good reviews. In fact all people who make he effort to write a yelp review should go back and see that a great percentage are filtered. This is an insult by yelp for your efforts. My dentist is great! But she has only 3 stars (only the people who complain are unfiltered. This tells me Yelp is dumb.

  • Complete bullshit. The company I work for has had a 1-star review, which was basically a personal attack towards us after bending backwards for their business. The Yelp reviewer has no friends, only one review, hasn't reviewed anything in over a year, and the review has been flagged more than 3x. The review is hurting our business and there seems to be NOTHING we can do about it.

  • @skrolikowski Yes, there is nothing more hurtful or annoying when you have worked very hard to build business. I would suggest re-contacting Yelp and letting them know. Just know that most people take extreme reviews with a grain of salt. Have you responded to this reviewer?

  • @savorthesuccess Hey there! I contacted the cleaning company and they had her remove the review. Thanks for asking!! And you are right... nothing more disconcerting or more vulnerable than having fake reviews posted.

  • LMAO, she almost said "One bad review from an illegal" lol.

  • @goldenboi24k Oops! Didn't mean to say that... most definitely! :)

  • Congrats Angela - and thanks so much for bringing an 'inside expert' out to share some great info. As always, you use your own experiences to really help the rest of us out! :-)

  • @paysoncooper Thanks so much! Jane was very helpful, and I think something like Yelp can make us all feel very vulnerable so it's nice to know that there's help out there.

  • Whoop!! Congrats to your Yelp 5 star rating & getting your sticker. Testament to your business excellence.

  • @Ficklets Thanks, Ficklets. Appreciate your support! xo
