  • can i see porn in hd whit this ?

  • This is a "short" video. =p

  • am I the only one who watches this for the music

  • how come im running an amd fx at 4.6 ghz with air cooling, stable and at 40°C o.o

  • @boggerman4352 Because since 2011, that's possible. In 2006, it certainly wasn't.

  • 2006!!! LOL

  • That feeling you get when you have 5.0 GHz with air cooling :)

  • call me crazy but i feel like the bang for the buck went out the window somewhere along the way... Im thinking it was in between the thought "how can i cool this thing" and "hey did you guys see my gloves...what they snapped in half because they were so cold"...

  • Thumbs up if you're a straight guy.

  • Nice, but what was the original CPU Speed? ok it is a P4...with ??Ghz ?

  • @VideozJudge

3,4 ghz northwood pentium 4 ... loot @ multiplicator from cpuz...

  • 'sup 1.88V D:

  • i reeeaaalllyyy wish my computer was liquid nitrogen colled

  • I have quite a few questions what is the max clock speed before liquid nitrogen cooling is needed how long does that last for how much does it cost how long would it take before it catches fire without cooling

    Thanks

  • Haha past 5GHz holy batmans! Welcome to 2011, where we can OC to beyond 5GHz on air... :P

  • No, It can't be...

    TOM'S HARDWARE?

  • stick your tounge in the liquid nitrogen plz

  • ive always wondered when they were going to create some form of liquid nitrogen cooling system for pc's now if only you could fit that into some kind of compact circulating pump system keep the liquid nitrogen cold all the time and kept it from evaporating into the air. cause im sick of air cooling my cpu which runs at like 75 degrees farenheit at idle i want it super cooled lol.

  • @gtafan2006 you mean celsius?

  • @covermanproductions not that was in F with just air cooling and an open window with a fan redirecting the cooler outside air into my pc's side vet

  • i have a cpu temp thing with options for celcius and farenheit readouts i prefer farenheit so i know if my pc is about to boil water lol

  • guys, this's my favorite video on youtube....

  • This`s good idea and good BGM

  • Now remove the liquid nitrogen pipe :D just look what's happens ^^

  • now 5 years later after this video, still no self catained nitro system on the market for sale to pc diy modders, yes dice has a dry ice / nitro bowl but still no idiot prof system??? some one call corsair and tell them to fk the h water cooler line and get some nitro coolers out for us !!!!!!

  • 5 thoooouuuusssaaannnndd

  • I know someone who do something like this at uni recently but instead of 5Ghz they had it up to 25Ghz. Using an Intel Processor. Dont ask which 1 I aint got a clue but come on 25Ghz. What would you need that speed for besides the ultimate gaming experience XD

  • @ricardopiskorz

The current world record for an overclock is 8Ghz, why wouldn't this guy get his name down and show if it was true?

  • @07NathaH cos it was a server case not a desktop

  • @ricardopiskorz Does the case matter?

  • @ricardopiskorz are you sure it was 25Ghz, that sounds like a load of crap to me, I mean mathematically speaking the archetecture that we use wont go past 10Ghz under any conditions, and at 25Ghz, the amount of heat to dicipate you would cause a melt down of the cores before heat could even be transfered, the best I personally have seen done with a commerical CPU is 7Ghz stable, 25Ghz just doesnt sound right, unless they invented something that doesnt use Silicon transistors, hmm lol?

  • @ncnhomegrown I have never heard of a 25GHz overclock... Largest overclock recorded is AMD Bulldozer at 8.6GHz

  • @killacam876 ifyou read and understood my comment I said 25Ghz was a load of crap in which someone earlier claimed to have seen it at a University. And Yes AMD do set the world record for highest clock, but Intel has about 20 - 30% more IPC 'Instructions per Clock" Which means in effect, they generate the same TDP as AMD cpu's however do more at a lower clockrate, AMD are going fro raw power intel are going for efficiency. The Bulldozer is a dissapointment on what a lot were expecting.

  • @ncnhomegrown I did read and understand it... I was just confirming it, and yes BD was a disappointment, and I am an Intel user. I was just throwing it out there o.O

  • ooh nitrogen smoke, don't breathe this.

  • @MrSleepinSloth

No, Only Pong on Ultra Settings.... :P

  • to those who are saying they got 5 Ghz with sandy bridge, you are Intel's slaves because they sell you overclocking by unlocking it for a bigger price, soon you will have to pay everytime you encode a video or smthing, AMD save us all!

  • AMD made a new world record of 8.4294 Ghz with the AMD FX-8150 on liquid helium cooling

  • usher should take a look at this guy

  • what the hell , how did your cpu not crash on so low temprature!!!!!!!!!!

  • I got 5ghz i7 2600k

  • @eeyk1993 congratz

  • In the future i bet we'll all be usin nitro :P unless it like boils in the hoses or something

  • @psychaospath No.

  • @PhyOSPhyOS erm well i am curious as to what you are saying no to? No to using nitrogen or the fact that it may or may not boil in the hoses?

Would be really cool to have it in our pc's.

But now that I think about it even the boiling in the hoses part can be overcome with pressure, so if we came up with really thick pressurized and cold resistant cooling hoses we could.

  • It's amazing how people are now getting 7GHz+ on 4 cores with LN2.

  • Its funny because I got my 2600k to 5.1 on air. I want to do this for a senior project though. May be cool.

  • how to get all those stuff plz

  • way too much thermal paste

  • @KnightWolfAlphaX9 works for him - maybe part of the setup

  • all the trouble setting up a pc for games!!!

  • @gbilios It might not be for games. It can be some heavy film rendering to super secret space missions.

  • I was just about to say that I can get 4.6GHz on air with my 2500k but then I looked at the upload date lmao.

  • Did the hardware survive?

  • @Bastylax86 Yes, liquid nitrogen cooling is frequently used in world record benchmarks and hardware has never failed so far to my knowledge.

  • techno music for technology

  • name of music?

  • 5ghz? week I can get that with air cooling........

  • @MegaDeathwarrant This was 2003.

  • this is much easyer with liquid hydrogen.

  • @patton446 also cost prohibitive

  • @patton446 the title says liquid nitrogen. duh.

  • Cool

  • @dragonx20091

are you stupid or joking? 500ghz is waaay higher than 3.427

    500ghz < 3.427ghz (just in case it's the former)

  • @MrBryceswenson "500 ghz < 3.427ghz" is a false statement. Check your comments before writing them.

  • @MontageReflex

But how can I check it before I write it?

    :o

  • How many times to change the liquid nitrogen??

  • scheiß alter pentium 4

  • 0:40 and it goes ooooon... This great track is called Aryx by Karsten Koch

  • 6*c??? Wicked for 5GHz in 2003

  • this gives me an idea of using recirculated PURE water...(100 percent pure water will not conduct electricity because of there being no minerals to conduct said electricity ie distilled water) or perhaps freon or R134a refrigerant.

  • That processor is probabally faster then my duel core duo e4500 @ 2.4ghz :(

  • @MrSnowmobiling yes it is your pc is 4.8ghz his is 5ghz but its still pretty good

  • @MrSnowmobiling haha mine is way faster i got intel pentium duel core e5400 @ 2.7GHz

  • @EminemFan1994David I think the duo's are faster then the pentium duel cores... Atleast in gaming and transfer rate...

  • @MrSnowmobiling there both duel core and they both do the same thing i think but all i know is mine is faster then yours X D i mean there just processors nothing special about them

  • i get 5ghz on my i7 2600k, and thats with water cooling

  • @LivefixTechnical 8 years later. Respect the time bro!

  • i get 5ghz on my i7 2600k, and thats with air cooling

  • 4 years later and intels sandybridge gets to the clock with water.... WOw technology changes fast

  • @cristof1357 I'm doing it on air :D 5Ghz @ 63C

  • @cristof1357 It is nine years later, but still very amazing, because that it is a quad core. Multicore CPUs usually run hotter than singlecore cpus if they are of the same class. But lga 1155 cpus uses far less voltage than the socket 478 pentium 4 that the video was using

  • I can oc my P4 HT to 4.8 GHz

  • i like how back then they used liquid nitrogen to get a cpu to 5 GHz, but nowadays if you have the right fan, cpu, and mobo you can get to 5.2 GHz easily without any liquid nitrogen

  • my friendoverclocked his i3 to 5.0ghz with a 15000 rpm fan muhaha.

  • @dragonx20091 you do realize your gay right?

  • 5GHz in 2003, just amazing.

  • @BlueRollinCoal still amazing

  • How about Dry Ice?

  • @RCNitroHelp101 so can anyone else..,... but for a very brief time because peeing on it will send a massive surge of electricity through it for a couple seconds.

  • @RCNitroHelp101

Chuck Norris sucks, the jokes aren't funny and they never were.

  • @RCNitroHelp101

rocky eats lightning and craps thunder....

Chuck Norris eats a huricane and craps an earthquake.

  • chemics, how come the lq nitrogen doesn't instantly vaporize?

  • @robbedoes1985

becuz ther is so much of it all at once it cant vaprize fast enough, though if you want to see something cool, pour L.N. into a pool (or simular large body of water.

  • hey i have a pentium 4 too!!

    maybe ill try this...

nah! ill get a sandy bridge i5 2500k and use a 30 dollar aftermarket heatsink and then change the multiplier to 50!!

thumbs up if you agree ;)

  • Only crysis will make this over heat

  • How Far can you Take an Intel i7 with this method?

  • Get luquid helium...... Its even cooler than liquid nitrogen

  • i still have the original download video, man we're goin back in the day.

  • man. u could play som serious dungeons n dwagonz on that computer >:L

  • or just get a Core i7 2500K...but hey thats 2011 technology...this was 2006!.. LOL

  • so could you even use the extra cpu speed where it is connected to such a slow fsb?

wouldnt you need a faster bus to get the benefit of the extra power?i didnt even think it would be possible to measure it like that with the bus being so much slower

ok so now try it with an I7 or xeon processor, how much do you thing you can get one of those babies up to with technique?

must be cool to like in alaska ,you can overclock your pc and just put a car radiator outside for your cooling system

  • This was acceptable 5 years ago.

  • 2 years ago i've seen a motherboard that uses liquid nitrogen to cools down the entire system, you inject the liquid nitrogen under preassure and it remains cold for much time ( don't exactly know how many), i can't remenber the nam but i thinks it has something like "(some code) Extreme OVERCLOCK)", it's appearance is like it has a LOT of tubes runing by the motherboard... and i saw it on the Worten Outlek in Coimbra in Portugal! It's cost was about 600€ (Not sure)...

  • shouldnt you cool all parts of the computer like the gpu, front end, and any other chip?

  • nobody believe that all this cheap stuff will work more then one hour...

  • does liquid nitrogen conduct electricity?

  • @tazex94 god no !

if liquid nitroggen conduct elecricity air will conduct electricity :O

  • @edtk99, Then we would all die.

  • @tazex94 i dont think so.

  • hah we can do this off of Air cooling with a select model of processors these days.

boy what technology can do with 6 years is amazing. Not only did we achieve in excess of 6.9Ghz. We did it with multiple core processors.

Can't imagine what technology we'll have in another 6 years. Sh@#ts going to be bad ass to say the least.

    we'll unless 2012 happens.

  • will it run crysis?

  • @MrSleepinSloth maybe... but, i'm not shure.... ))

  • @MrSleepinSloth Crysis with a 5gHz cpu clock? Not with a 9800GT, lmao.

  • @MrSleepinSloth But will it blend/run MineCraft?!?!?

  • I know what the first song is, but what is the second song that is from 2:35 till the end? I really would like to know please.

  • @junebugman do you already know more about the last song??

  • so much t paste lol

  • Music/Song/Soundtrack: Karsten Koch - Aryx

  • LOL P4!

  • It's funny to look at this video and think my current system which runs on air and isn't even that much overclocked can destroy this system in benchmarks.

  • @luanswan2002 hardly any air cooled cpus will run at 5ghz...

  • @somerandomutewb The new Sandy bridge chips can do that, just take a look at HwBot.org and see the overclocking results. Many using air cooling at 5GHz, my 2600k runs at 4.7GHz with air cooling so 5GHz must be possible :)

  • @AlbertMwugabi My god, if that is true maybe I should of gotten a Sandy Bridge processor instead of my i5 760 lol.

Either way, I doubt there is any game or program that needs 5GHz in a processing core xD

  • @TheDrunkenMantis Sandy bridge is pretty awesome but i5 760 is a nice CPU to. I upgraded from an old Q6600, so i thought i'd "go all the way" and bought a powerfull sandy bride system. :)

haha that is so true, as i said i run mine at 4.7GHz and with Hyper Threading and i have never hit 100% load on all cores in real life situations, so it has more power then any average user needs ;)

  • @AlbertMwugabi nitrogen is ok for overclocking but not for long periods of time , beacuse refilling nitrogen can be expensive and it evaporates at a higher rate when the cpu tempacure goes up. Boronhydride and Lithumfuloride

holds it's tempacure longer then nitrogen or helium but it's not as cold or low a tempacure.

  • that's alot of work for just to play games and shit

  • @smartface96 *facepalm people who do this dont do it for games, they do it for benchmarking, to c how far they can get........the term "project" should hint that this isnt for everyday use........

  • GREAT PROJET

  • i wonder how fast sandy bridge can stretch 2 the max with liquid cooling haha 10 ghz mayb lolz

  • What is the name of this song and are you from germany? i'm from there and can't speak a lot of english xD

  • But will it blend?

  • @NicenEasyuk I WILL BLEND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY ! STFU U CONSOLE FAG !

  • @chabi3000 Console fag? I go out and drink 20 pints a night, get into the odd scrap but always end the night with a kebab. I like watchin the footie and makin the missus spread wide. You think i'm actually bothered about consoles and computers?

  • @NicenEasyuk Then dont fuckin get ony my nerves and stop writing these annoying internet fad phrases in good videos . Ok so you have a LIFE but that doesnt justifies being a jerk. Peace out .

  • @chabi3000 How does saying that make me a jerk. It's not like i said 'mom i'm going out to kil 21 people bla bla bla'. It would make a good blend video...

  • @NicenEasyuk that is the gayest thing i have ever heard

  • @NicenEasyuk I would rather know..... is it a good idea to microwave this?

  • but can it play crysis?

  • ya retard 5 ghz is way better then your pice of shit

  • chuck norris phone has 500ghz processor.

  • the true question is will it blend

  • ha

  • Comment removed

  • What are the songs in this video please?

  • This is old, for the time it was impressive.

  • Geez.. what year was this done? I thought liquid nitrogen cooled cpu was kinda.. new :)

  • you can do 5GHZ with a i5-2500K

  • What's the point of the heatsink? It will only heat the Liquid nitrogen...

  • Now sandy bridge 5 ghz on air no problems :)

  • The best coolant is liquid Helium you fucking moron.

  • @concreatemonkey Better coolant, just really expensive and is from a non-renewable source. Nitrogen, much cheaper, and with consumer electronics, you can only push things so far anyways.

  • @dean10007 Well in the description it reads "There is not a better CPU cooling system than liquid nitrogen" But i am informing him it is incorrect and Helium is better. Price is not a issue when it comes to breaking the world record.

  • @concreatemonkey I was going to write about the same... =P

  • So.. the more cool your processor is, the faster it will go?

Wont cooling it to below freezing somehow impair it from working properly?

  • @jstsurreal Maybe VERY near 0K that will become a superconductor or something like that but even LH2 can't do that to silicon.

  • @RCNitroHelp101 Ever heard of 50 MHz? Dumbass.

  • Liquid Helium pwns Liquid Nitrogen!

  • This still sends shivers down my spine, even tho I have a i7 860.

  • @drKlitzman The same with me, its just amazing how high they got it, at that time.

  • luquid nitrogen works!!!!!but my mother said it was insane ..so i swtiched to water coolingXD

  • Why do I need i7?

  • @jsnprofessor because this cooling system is very dangerous, the i7 is not so expensive as the nitrogen liquid is. And ofcourse the nitrogen liquid could being evaporated

  • @Topulis91 Not really, Liquid N2 is rather inexpensive compared to Liquid He2, and certainly much less expensive than a multi-hundred dollar CPU. It's just more efficient to have the N2 in a closed system.

  • @dean10007 I suggest you take your "Less expensive" talk to a closed discussion about home computers. Liquid N2 would NEVER be practical in a home computer and certanily not He. However this is a video about a high Ghz system and in order to reach these high numbers you need a amazing coolant. He is better than N. And you will see in the groundbreaking Ghz records they use He. Read the description before you post you melanchony bullshit.

  • EXTREME UNDERCLOCKING!

Underclocked to a quarter of a single Hertz!

Watch out, you need to keep a flamethrower ready to heat up the processor.

  • FPS RATE? 100.000.000? :D

  • Chuck Norris just stares at the stock CPU cooler until it cools just as hard as this.

  • some day we will see this done two thr lcd screen just make high depth pixcels

  • This is a really old video people...

I'm pretty sure an i7 would smoke this.

  • WHY NOT LIKE

  • THE FLOWER NOOOOO
