The further you get, you get non-Turkic based people like Turkish/Azeria. And a little further from Central Asia, and you get a mixed type, the Turkmen and Uzbeks.

If you knew anything about Turkic language, tradition, culture, history and beliefs, you would have found too many similarities. One of many is that my family name originated from mongol-turkic language(Temujin) translated to Temurci. It is neither your choice or Genghis Khan's to claim whether your people are Mongol or Turk. There was a battle for nomadic supremacy during Genghis Khan's time in Mongolia. Genghis Khan fought with Turkic tribes like the Merkits and Keryaits for awhile until he defeated them and united the rest of the tribes into one confederation. A lot of the tribes that made up the Mongol confederation were Turkic tribes. The actual Mongol tribes themselves were fewer in number than the Turkic tribes. So a lot of modern Mongolians descend from the many Turkic tribes that made up the Mongol nation.

There used to be a lot of Turkic tribes in Mongolia. But Genghis Khan managed to unite the few Mongol peoples and build up the nation of Mongols and strengthen the Mongol language and culture. If it wasn't for him, we would be speaking Turkic languages like Kazakstan and Kyrgyzstan. But we don't because Genghis Khan established the Mongol state for us and now we see ourselves as Mongols, and not Turks. The real Turks are in Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Yakutia, Uyghurs, etc.
