This song is exactly my life. I loved my husband (yes we had a love story we both fell in love were very romantic and were good for each other) for 11 years and now he is married to another woman. The sad thing is we still claim to love each other but can never be together ever. Every word every line in this song is my plight and my prayer. what a song the writer is an emotional genius.

Here mean Western country? I've sisters practicing Islam and other religions. They are good people. Your comment, unfortunately is overly simplistic and explanation of females lives here in the West (which is not a monolithic entity). Perhaps, sadly, the mates you're associated with are as you've characterized. This may be your prejudices against them. I have seen girls come from Bangladesh and be more Canadian than First Nations Peoples; likewise the same can be said about other cultures.
