@DuckByte All 1953 and early 1954 Corvette's used the Bullet style air cleaners as seen in the video. A dual pot air cleaner with "manifold" was used on later VIN 1954's. The inline 6 isn't fast, but it has an impressive amount of torque. I have one of these cars and I agree that the engine sounds terrible in this video, like someone forgot to put oil in it. :(
All 1953-54 Corvettes and the first seven 1955 models utilized the GMC "Blue Flame" 235-cubic-inch in-line six engine. 1955 saw the use of Chevrolet's famous small-block V8 engine, which initially displaced 265 cubes (enlarged in 1957 to 283 cubes, 327 in 1962 and 350 in 1967; although the Corvette didn't use the 350 until 1969).

Nice restoration. Everything looks factory original except the air cleaner manifold is missing.
