@Thedakidd1 Is the double-drive ring custom built for you or did u just fuse 2 of them together somehow? also i noticed you added an auxiliary spring on the belt tensioner. smart move. i had to do that on my bike as well. i was getting belt slippage when going up hills or into a really strong headwind. great job on the bike!
@Kara0ki I simply cut one drive ring down in size useing one of those cheap batery driven skill saws, then used stainless steel screws to put the 2 rings together. The bearings on my clutch drive did go bad, excess forces and weight to handle. So I added a third bearing buy widening the outside plate enough to accept one more bearing, and welding a pieace of tube that I had lieing around to cover the bearing up with. Works great.
@Kara0ki Ah, yes. I can see the tooling marks on the ring @ 3:55. Still a very clean cut. Nice thing about the dual belt is, if ya throw a belt, you can still limp home on 1 belt. But im guessing you would get double the life on the belts since they share the drive load.
Yes,we're on the same thinking. I totally agree with you...but here the law prohibits people even these little things...you're right and this is what governments fear: that people begin to move from one, but produce alcohol instead of grain may not be the best way...hunger leads to poorer nations... already happened with fuel oil. Ciao.
I would also say that I really like this vehicle: It was built with great craftsmanship! I'm writing from Italy and here I cannot find one like this and I can not build it...Here it's illegal mount that small engine too...we could only 250watt electric (with assistance of the pedals you cannot have accelerator by hand) to not pay tax, test, license plate, helmet, assurance....and GASOLINE ! I wanna buy one from USA ! Thank you very much.
@gio59con This engine can also burn alcohol, which can be made at home & causes little pollution in making it and burning it. To produce electricity, have to use nuclear or coal. Both are bad - both very polluting. Do you think electric energy is non-polluting? Electric motors for vehicles use batteries - which cause pollution by making & disposal. Even if this small engine used gasoline, it uses very little. We could grow hemp & distill alcohol from hemp for fuel & use same engines we have now.
@Marleyites We also have solar panels, wind farms, hydroelectric, geothermal ... but I can see that you are not insensitive to the problem, this is important, people must learn and start from only. Have a nice day. Tanks from Italy
@gio59con I'm sorry, I'm the one who mis-read your post. I thought you said I was insensitive to this issue. We're on the same thinking, except that I want people to have their own power, not depending on a government or corporation to bring it to their home. We have many energy options, but we're not allowed to develop that power b/c the govs or corps will not make money. What if families could live well on 1 - 3 gallons of alcohol per day, using a small home generator & bikes like this one?
That is just ridiculous! I could design something better then that in less then five minutes!

Throws away the combustion engine my friend, put on an electric!
gio59con 1 year ago
@gio59con Why are you suggesting throw away the engine & get electric instead?
Marleyites 1 year ago
@Marleyites Have you heard about ecology? It's time to say enough to the oil.
Do you like what happened in the Gulf? Do you know what happening?
We owe to leave our children a cleaner world.
Where do you live my friend?
In large cities, 25% of children have asthma and people are dying for cancer: With this vehicle "electric" he could give a great lesson to the future!
Do not expect the big, we small, let us begin!
