Time for the "anti-war" left to buck up. Are they really for bringing the troops home or just driven by hatred for GWB and Repubs. Here's a REAL anti-war candidate that actually want to bring ALL troops home. If it means that much to them, then vote Ron Paul. But I think I know the answer already, since the only consistent anti-war candidate on the left is totally ignored. If Paul isn't on the ballot election day, then I have better things to do than wait in line to vote for generic leadership.
I feel the same way. If it's going to be between Huckabee and Clinton or something similar, I won't bother voting. Do people recognize that across the board, democrats and republicans, a Ron Paul presidential candidacy would be popular. Hilary vs. Paul! There'd be no contest. Paul would sap away liberals and democrats to him and republicans would get out just to defeat Hilary. And I doubt the chances of the other "stay the course" republican candidates vs. a democrat running for "change".
Yeah, I agree. Liberals are interventionists and if this was over intervening in Kosovo or just stepping aside from Palestine/Israel disputes they'd be spinning Paul as an isolationist. But they can't do that because of how unpopular Bush has made our meddling abroad. And I'd guess that more of the "average joe" democrats would be attracted to a candidate overtly against all of that. I can dream anyway. :-)
No way. Democrats would never vote for him. No way. Democrats for the most part, and to a lesser extent Republicans, will not vote for someone who won't promise they'll do things for them. It wasn't always like this in the US. Unfortunately, Democracy, even a republic like ours that was built to protect the minority and civil and economic rights, will eventually lead to socialism.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you; I think that when you have a country (hell, a whole planet) full of people who can't think for themselves and can be swayed by charisma, evil will triumph. If it's pure, blatant evil, perhaps not; but someone like Hillary Clinton, or Barack Obama (who isn't evil, just somewhat naïve), who can charm the entire nation, will win, and instigate their idiotic plans for "change".
Absolutely...and then the only way a "Conservative" party can win is to be less conservative...i.e. they must promise things to people to keep up with the liberal politicians....even though the constitution never envisioned that politicians would even have this kind of power over economic liberty...which by the way is just as important as (or incidental to) individual liberty. Americans have totally lost the ability to grasp that fact.
Medical care of people who cannot afford it should depend on charity? Specifically on charity from churches? Obviously concern for common decency and for civility does not enter into Ron's reasoning.
Charity doesn't fall under common decency but getting help from bureaucrats who give you the forcibly taken (taxed) income of someone else does? Give it a rest man. Soon health care will look like the post office, DMV, public school system, welfare/social security/medicare/medicaid/ mess. When health care becomes free is when it will really get expensive.
I'm with you....but I wish I could actually believe that. Honestly I wish I could, but I just can't. You're relying a lot on "the people," and frankly I don't think there's much there. Folks complain about status quo, but in the end they're content with it. This IS NOT 1776 America, this is an America who is blind to being blindsided by its own government.
If you do not understand his health care policys,do not comment, you make your self look ignorent, and also do a diservice to people that are trying to find the truth in candidates veiws.Look up his policys and read them.
Our interests in the world require us to be in 130 countries and having 700 bases overseas?
I'm all for a strong military and asserting our interests, but not so broadly that we are trying to micro-manage the world. I also doubt it's in our long-term interests because it's unsustainable economically. Thinking otherwise is pie in the sky!
Yes the Kazan Tatars. There is still a compact community of such people in the upper Volga; descendants of the Golden Horde. The Crimean Tatars are also struggling to re-assert themselves in the Peninsula.
The Golden Horde of course came after Ghengis fought against the original Tatars in their homeland, the Caucusus Mountains. The original Tatars, like my family, and many others, never mixed blood with Mongols. Mother in law for example was 4'10" blond hair, blue eyes, quite beautiful by Western standars. Look like one of the Gabor sisters.Zsa Zsa, Eva or (you may not be familiar with them but I'm sure you could find a youtube video featuring Zsa Zsa gabor. )
Yes I know of the Gabor sisters. They are of Hungarian descent. I thought the original Tatar tribe lived near the Manchurian border not too far from North Korea.
The truth is.... Republicans are Globalists and Democrats are Socialists. If we really want our country back... we need to throw them ALL out. However, Mr. Paul is MUCH closer to the way things should be than ANYONE else in the race.
I love the way he says, "No, you don't have a 'right' to health care" etc. What other politician running for office would have the guts to say that on a top MSM TV show? Dr. No is the un-politician. In fact, his slogan should be, "Wait and see what I'll un-do for you!"
Every time I hear him speak, I'm continually amazed at how intelligent this man is, and how much sense everything he says makes. I can't believe that I never thought about these things that much before Dr Paul! Shame on me.
home run!logic rules.cant show this to the sheeple.i love you ron paul and i love all of you out there fighting for everyone. never, never, never stop. THIS IS THE COUNTRY I SERVED.
Damn. Now that is the Ron Paul I love! Free Market is the only thing that works, brothers! All you socialists just have to realize your philosophy is unworkable, let alone a nightmare!
yeah it all sounds great but the problem is that the "average joe" has to understand his message!!! remember that george bush and not kerry got eleted. kerry was too intellectual for the "average joe". thus Paul has to reach for those guys, too.
I think you're right. Sometimes Paul has to compact his complicated ideas in very short time. These ideas need long explanations. Unless you've had a strong college introductory course in Macroeconomics, you might have trouble understanding what Ron Paul talks about. Why giving universal healthcare is actually a bad idea is explained by how free market works. GoogleTalk was the best interview with Ron Paul ever. Covered all the best issues.
bah, he also wouldn't have had the fund raising or the support he has. His campaign is growing as people drop out. His message is what people respond to.
I disagree. The people want change. They are fed up with typical politics.
"He needs to balance things more.."
What you are referring to is what makes me sick with politics today. They all take these very middle of the road positions on things. You never know their true views if they even care. Governing by polls is horrible. Taking the middle ground because it will get you elected is also a farce.
The people need to re-think how they evaluate a candidate.
Yes you're right. But as far as I'm concerned Ron Paul is actually middle of the road. He proposes the very ideals of our founding fathers and the constitution. A country based on individual liberty and economic liberty. The basis that made this country as great as it is and made it different than any in the history of the world. The basic values that made this country the place where so many foreigners wanted to leave their homelands for.
Dude... No kidding. Everyone knows that. Pull the money. How can you pull the money, quit watching, boycott their advertisers products. The big cooperations are dependent on money. So quit using their shit.
The tricks of hate are incredible. Here's the the latest: Take a decent, compassionate and loving man and by arranging for him to speak outside in the cold at night with a black coat on, you can create an image of someone blowiing smoke out of the natural temp different from the breath. They know that it's easy to fool people by creating images. Focus on the message! Use you basic common human sense. Images go to straight to the right brain, they know that.
Why didn't this air on tv last night like it was supposed to? I figured they taped it yesterday to air tonight. I guess it's not on tonight. Did they pull an ABC/Stossel and limit it to the internet?
CNN not airing this and 20/20 not airing the John S. interview on tv is why main stream media is going to continue to see a downward spiral of viewership after this election. Loss of ad revenue will be tremendous.
ALERT! H.R. 1955 was passed by the traitors in the House now it's before the corrupt Senate! The Violent Radicalization And Homegrown Terrorist Act of 2007. If this bill is passed, it will be a crime to even "Question", the government on any issue that it doesn't want exposed! Still think we don't need a Ron Paul fighting for YOUR liberty, freedom and saving the Constitution!
Yeah, why the hell didn't they air this??? They had the same show on at 6 and 9:00!!! They must have been notified to NOT show his face on t.v. right before the Iowa caucus. He should make a list of shows like this who tried to SCREW him, and after he gets the nomination he should refuse to go onto these shows.
We so often blame only the corporate media conglomerates for wanting to smear Paul. Consider how their talking heads make their livings. People like Dobbs, Russert, Cavuto, etc...what would they have left to talk about if RP actually won? Actual news?
Why the hell did they stick Ron Paul out in the cold. They couldn't find some place indoors for this shoot? And then they don't even air it. What bastards CNN are.
I thought it was interesting that they scrubbed Mr. Paul when the election type news is really hot right now and substituted his interview with a 1 hr one with that lesbian "financial expert" I guess what she has to say is more important to cnn than what a presidential candidate has to say.
I can't believe I didn't see this on TV. This interview is excellent, and clear. Dr. Paul's positions are difficult to argue with. I can't wait to see his performance in Iowa knock the MSM back on their heels so they have to strart covering him. It's ridiculous how little coverage they give him, which only reinforces what everyone suspects... the game is rigged.
That was an awesome interview. Very clear and concise. No spinning or trying to trap RP. King gave RP time to articulate his answers clearly. Kudo's to King and Paul.
Republicans and Democrats are both in trouble.. its revolution time! Take your country back Ron Paul style! Some free healthcare would be nice though... LOL
Dr. Paul is the voice of today's American service men and woman, vets and their families. When CNN and Fox attempt to thwart Paul's message, they silence the voice of the defenders of the very freedoms that permit their existence. BUT if there were no war, who would watch CNN and Fox?
Obviously, LK got the memo, so this didn't air. They probably were hoping for a gaff, or a dean scream. Or maybe LK is just getting senile and forgot who he worked for.
I don't think LK made the decision on his own however. But who knows.
CNN is worthless--don't watch it, and don't visit its website.
CNN has an agenda of support for Israel, including sending YOUR sons and daughters to die in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran to support Israeli policy, but not THEIR sons and daughters.
Ron Paul will bring the troops home, and Israel HATES that.
Larry King should have been a better host and provided a place indoors rather than having Ron Paul stand out in the cold. Oh well, Larry King is an asshole, what's new. He is the type who would turn his back on a starving child. Screw King, screw Fox, and screw all thier advertisers.
If this was only broadcast on the Internet, it is an interesting "cover your ass" approach for CNN, because it will be seen mostly by people who already know Ron Paul and support him. They can maintain the Old Media blackout on Ron Paul vis-a-vis the non-online public while tossing a few table scraps to satiate Ron Paul supporters. Anyway, all this is IF it is purely for Internet consumption only -- I'm outside the USA so I can't confirm.
Now I see why they didn't air it. Paul did tooo well and made to much common sense. They probably thought they would get the "kook" on and blow it for him in Iowa. Instead, they saw the airing of this would help him everywhere and called Suze to fill the spot instead.
I can't believe they aired that idiot Suze Ormond. As soon as she said she favored Clinton or Guiliani I knew she was a moron.
I sent in a question asking how if she so strongly advocated savings could she support candidates that believe in spending beyond the country's means, and she could support the side of policies guaranteed to destroy the value of the savings she advocates.
She can have no useful advice in any of her books if this is an example of her "thought" processes.
andrew17660, what more can we expect? Who pays King's paycheck? Instead of hating, let's focus on how blessed we are to have someone like Ron Paul speaking the uncompromising truth with grace and dignity. RP has so much class that 99% of the Old Media people who get on camera with him automatically look like dolts by comparison. Ya almost (almost) gotta feel sorry for RP's opponents getting stymied at every turn, stewing in their own juices and not knowing how to deal with it. Let 'em cook!
That will be the last time I tune into Larry King Live. I tuned in to see Dr. Paul, and got some boring lady who didn't seem to know what she was talking about.
I'll watch again if Dr. Paul is actually on, otherwise, I've added it to my boycott for life list along with Katie Couric's show.

CNN: SHAME.
redbrew82 4 years ago
Why the hell did they stick Ron Paul out in the cold. They couldn't find some place indoors for this shoot? And then they don't even air it. What bastards CNN are.
Quasifonix 4 years ago
I thought it was interesting that they scrubbed Mr. Paul when the election type news is really hot right now and substituted his interview with a 1 hr one with that lesbian "financial expert" I guess what she has to say is more important to cnn than what a presidential candidate has to say.

"The purpose of government is to protect liberty."
This is why Ron Paul is loved so much!
vapatriot2 4 years ago 2
on the day it was supposed to be aired
they aired an episode with suzie ormond
who said "ron paul wouldn't win"
this is just senseless, they aired the swift boat ad for free, by replaying it on the air
the media seems to censor any anti war voice
rocketman10owen 4 years ago
Awesome. It's a shame if this really wasn't aired.

Need to get CNN to air this segment ASAP or sooner
RP Nat'l HQ said it was going to be on 1-2-08 but it didn't happen

Apparently this wasn't aired. So thanks to CNN for wasting Ron Paul's time on a very busy day.

RON PAUL 2008!

Fantastic interview. I can iamgine the neocons watching that and sh&^tin themselves. He's not supposed to say those things on T.V.
Ron Paul is rocking the establishment and eventually the world.

"People resent us propping up military dictators all over the world."
Exactly. Without Ron Paul you would not see anyone saying this on television.
Thank you, Ron Paul!

This will not air because he's saying the very things the MSM (CIA/CFR) is suppose to keep us from even thinking.
Rintrah23 4 years ago 11
Obviously, LK got the memo, so this didn't air. They probably were hoping for a gaff, or a dean scream. Or maybe LK is just getting senile and forgot who he worked for.
I don't think LK made the decision on his own however. But who knows.

CNN watch out, you don't want to tread on the r3VOLution...we won't turn the other cheek. Our freedom and liberty is too important to us!
Ron Paul 2008
rilla825 4 years ago 3
Damn right.
EchelonMonitor 4 years ago
Larry King should have been a better host and provided a place indoors rather than having Ron Paul stand out in the cold. Oh well, Larry King is an asshole, what's new. He is the type who would turn his back on a starving child. Screw King, screw Fox, and screw all thier advertisers.
Ron Paul r3VOLution has only just begun!
rilla825 4 years ago 2
Great interview! Spread it around people - if CNN won't broadcast it then it's up to us to bring people here to watch it. Viva la Revolucion!
ShowMeLiberty 4 years ago 7
If this was only broadcast on the Internet, it is an interesting "cover your ass" approach for CNN, because it will be seen mostly by people who already know Ron Paul and support him. They can maintain the Old Media blackout on Ron Paul vis-a-vis the non-online public while tossing a few table scraps to satiate Ron Paul supporters. Anyway, all this is IF it is purely for Internet consumption only -- I'm outside the USA so I can't confirm.
cdwitmer 4 years ago 12

She can have no useful advice in any of her books if this is an example of her "thought" processes.
kayaker712 4 years ago 7
totally, I was with my wife watching. Suze was talknig about big government in bed with big busiiness, and abouyt how bad that is.
I said to my wife "With a remark like that, the only person she could back is Ron Paul."
This was followed by her saying shelikes Hitlary and Guliani. Wow, shes a moron. I just changed the channel. Some people are so fu%*ing stupid.

I fucking hate Larry King.
andrew17660 4 years ago
andrew17660, what more can we expect? Who pays King's paycheck? Instead of hating, let's focus on how blessed we are to have someone like Ron Paul speaking the uncompromising truth with grace and dignity. RP has so much class that 99% of the Old Media people who get on camera with him automatically look like dolts by comparison. Ya almost (almost) gotta feel sorry for RP's opponents getting stymied at every turn, stewing in their own juices and not knowing how to deal with it. Let 'em cook!

This and ABC 20/20 are two broadcasts with Ron Paul that never aired. I guess too many people would have heard his message loud and clear.
