@ronsig thx!! This was filmed at Christina Lake, BC, Canada. And I would love to see the Bee Hummer. We had plans to go to the National Park to see them, when we were last in Cuba. Then Tropical Storm Noel came in and everything was shut down and we were evacuated! A different kind of excitement!
Amazing video, thanks for posting. The hummers here can't stand to share the yard, let alone eat at the feeders together. They are constantly warring. I guess Canadian hummers are more tolerant of each other! ;)
I Love hummingbirds, great Video, and wonderful clear color, I can watch them forever. I had to move my feeder from a tree I had it hooked up too, because there were so many ants on it & the hummingbirds were feeding & shoving the ants into the bottle. Bleck!! LOL
Do you have any idea how small these birds actually are? It's an amazing and a beautiful creature. The smallest hummingbird is the bee hummingbird, and it weighs only 1.8 grams!! LOL
@lordabomity The bumble-bee hummer is the smallest & lives in Cuba. We had arranged to go to a Nature Reserve to see them (apparently they land on your hand) & our plans had to be cancelled. We had to be evacuated from our resort due to a tropical storm and everything was closed down for tours etc. Quite exciting but missed seeing the birds. :(
@JCVdude I read that info on wikipedia so when I read your comment I knew I could have been mistaken since wiki isn't always 100% accurate. But no problem man, I know you probably got confused somewhere like everyone else does sometimes, me included. Dude I hope you get to go to Cuba and interact with these creatures on a personal level. I live in Sweden so it's kind of a long way for me and it wouldn't my first priority but still. I would probably go to Australia if I could afford it lol.
This is very nice and they all get along. I've heard several times one humming bird can be dominating. Is your camera 12.1? I use 7.1 and want to upgrade.
@Sylviascloud The hummies at Cindy's Mom's definitely have one little guy we've named 'Spike' who is dominant & owns one of the feeders. Let's the others feed at the second feeder. All of our equip is SONY. The vid camera is the HDR-HC9.
Wow!

I love this video. Where was it taken?
I did see the bee hummingbird in Cuba once. It was even smaller than ours here. We only get the rubythroated in Ontario.
