I Own one, I must tell you it is the best. Especially the anderson drives. Believe it or not I can still get the same money I paid for it. There is nothing like the surface drives. ENJOY.
Are any of your "brilliant minds" actually a) sailors, b) video producers or c) experienced navigators. Ah...no!!! So why don't you take your "expertise", negative comments and "BS", and find a porno channel for some relaxation.
I saw one for sale a couple of years ago, that was 3.9 mil. and that was a basic fit with basic instrumentation. For Atlantic or ocean crossings you need stat weather, stat radio, world wide ocean stat, sat nav, radar, epirb, and stuff you need a NASA degree for. Thats gona set you back the high end of 5 mil. Let me know if you need a skipper.
Possible, but definitely not at its planing cruise speed. Hull speeds would probably get what you are looking for(5-10knts). And you obviously couldn't do those trips non-stop. You would have to stop in at places along the way to fuel-up.
Yachts have sails. I would call this a pleasure launch. It looks horribly inefficient at speed - dragging it's ass and throwing up that bloody stupid rooster tail - it looks like something that can't quite manage to get on the plane or is trimmed really badly.
jonny - the aft of the Baia is shaped that way, partially to accomodate the actually very efficient Arneson surface drives. The drives are what cause the tail and frankly I think it looks great.
When I see water being throw vertically rather than laterally I immediately think of wasted energy but those things are a different kettle of fish - never knew about them. Thanks.
Ok is one of few boats pretty fast and this video is very well done good edition good shots boat reputation that everything is perfect just grab me tell you very little that is 78 but in the video is smallest in order, too good music it will help a lot to the video ee seen the video several times and in a part of the video I saw the Mexican flag, I wonder where is the Atlantic where he worked ho if Mexico if Mexico is doubly prefect greetings from the yacht club Acapulco
Cool boat, I actually find this 1 more usefull because its more agile than bigger yachts. Its the perfect combination of luxury and performance. What do you need 134 rooms and 6 different decks for when you can get this.
the big water behind him is cause he use a Arneson system for purpolusion... its not the odinary that is down from the hull of the yacht but in the back :D
well Arneson system gives more speed and the propellers are more efficient cause of the better design and also the steering is better cause they move by them selves and not as the usual that they have a small flap in front to steer. Though they are more expensive to buy them and the cost to run them.
Arneson Drives are high-performance surface-piercing drives, meaning the props run half in and half out of the water, creating more speed, shorter draft and less drag. These drives can handle the tremendous torque of diesels, making them the preferred choice for boats such as this.
Yeh you are right it is incredible yacht.I love to know more and more about yachts.I found some useful information about yachts and ships at SPLASHVISION . COM.
If you like to buy one, contact Baia Shipyard in Italy, they have also smaller and more economic models for you - these are leading, world class boats...
Glorious, yet we can make her look better with flying-fins by Superior Hulls Inc. - a very nice production and a boat to be real proud of... Yes, I do envy all who made and enjoy this yacht!!!

To correct myself it releases as many tons of CO2 in an hour as a normal family car does in a year.

It looks small, but it can carry a helicopter in the front.
Just a shame that it uses as much diesel in one hour that a normal family car does in a year.
