  • These guys got airplay here in chicago. Now chicago radio sucks horribly.

  • living in the chicago area, i used to hear this band, and this song on Q101, but now with Q101 gone, and no contemporary rock stations on the air in chicago, ive taken to searching for little fringe lower power stations in the suburbs, i heard this a few minutes ago, one ''the kat'', a s/w suberban station, and i forgot how good this was, so i cam right home to ck on youtube...and wow, here it is, THANKS FOR POSTING THIS UP!!!!!

  • I don't understand how this song was not more popular?! I will forever remember hearing this in Golds Gym circa 1996. Quite a pump!

  • Why is everything on this page in caps? I mean, I love the Hunger, but damn...

  • @Metzae YOU HAVE TO TYPE YOUR COMMENT IN CAPS OR HE WON'T SEE IT

  • one awesome tune that's not played enough!!

  • Everytime I hear this song I feel like in 16 again.:) :(

  • I just saw them tonight in Pharr Tx. They opened for Filter, Chevelle, and Bush. They did a great show, tonight.

  • ONE OF THE BEST HUNGER SHOWS I SAW WAS AT THE CAJUN CATFISH FESTIVAL!

  • I just bookmarked this because the background music sounds like a really old computer game I used to play. Dune.

(and yes, I full well realize that may have been the nerdiest comment I've ever made)

  • Excellent,wish I could find SHOTGUN SQUAD!

  • Houston Music was badass in the 90s. BTW. Voice Of Eye started performing again in 2008 and have some vids on here on Youtube.

  • Texas Bands Are The Best

  • I met these guys in person many years ago when Devil Thumbs a Ride came out! Have a pic to! these guys are awesome! And I've seen them twice in concert!!! Wish I could see them again! And I'm 49 yrs old and still love this band!

  • My God...the 90's. I miss those days. The music was so much better then.

  • @NimhShambler

I was thinking the exact same thing. I was in high school when this came out and it still gives me flash backs. What I would give to re-live just one day.

  • The mid- to late 1990s actually got HARDER with the real bands that came out.

  • Among the detritus of the alternative 90's, The Hunger stood out as something actually worthwhile . Still have their "Devil Thumbs a Ride" album. Good stuff.

  • I HAVE SEEN THE HUNGER, SO MANY PUBS SO LITTLE TIME!!!

  • I was on that hill at Buzzfest at the woodlands. That shit was fucking awesome!!! All day boring with Cowboy Mouth, Our lady Peace, The Foo Fighters, everyone was just sitting down quiet all day until The Hunger came out with Vanishing Cream and that place blew up! There were trash cans and shoes in the air the whole time.

  • this is one of the few songs that doesn't have any dislikes

  • Awesome Song!! Thanks for Posting!!

  • Bless you for putting this up! Great song!

  • Alice-esque harmonized singing during the verse is pretty intoxicating. Heavily Satriani-influenced guitar work is also crispy clean!

I had completely forgotten how much I loved this song when it first came out 15 years ago!

  • @TiramisuHappy And don't forget the almost Depeche Mode-esque synthesizers!! :)

  • song is the best from the band

  • If this song doesnt get you pumped up, you dont have a pulse!

  • they are very very good .. I can see why you would follow them all over TEXAS i bet their LIVE stage show is GREAT ..
