Is the Cordoba House going to be used for Islamic worship?
If so, then it is a mosque.
As Islam loves to do, they will put a pretty candy shell around their crap then try to sell it to everyone else. By that I mean, they package their mosque as a "cultural center" but it is still a mosque.
@ImGonnaKillYou2nd Ya, and on the surface Islam doesn't look like a cult of brainwashed zombies willing to lie and kill in the name of a fake God and Prophet....BUT IT IS!!
I'd have to say EVERY religion is better, because no other major religion steals the identity from its followers like Islam does, instills oppression, hatred, intolerence and terror like Islam does, or demands complete submission from the entire world, like Islam does. All Christianity and catholicism ask is that you believe in God. No other strict laws or fear or death threats. No fear of death if you have questions or you decide to leave. Only Islam. It is a disease.
There is nothing in the Bible or any christian "law" that says being gay is punishable by death.
If the crazy things you are talking about is the Inquisitions and witch trials, then I would agree.
Luckily Christians have come out of the dark ages and into the age of science and reason. There are no witches or witchcraft, no Jinn, no hocus pocus or magic. And, except for a tiny minority -less than 1%- believe in such superstition. Yet, Muslims still do.

@AmaindeJH you responded to a month old comment to tell me this?
what i said regarding how oft times bills are strategically introduced while the public is embroiled in irrational "debate" is very common. whats more is how often these "debates" are propped up and exaggerated by special interests groups and the media to further their priorities.
this isnt some crazy bat shit conspiracy, its common sense. try to be more objective and understanding of reality (not just yours) before judge.
@knowledgethief Yes, I respnded to a month-old comment to tell you that. Yep. I sure did. What you said about the bills is absolutely true. It's the insulting things you said afterward the anger me. I could post a bunch of insulting stereotypical sludge that is based in truth about Muslims or any other group of people, and it would be considered unacceptable.
@knowledgethief ....my people, who I am, what I've done, what I stand for, what I look like, what I read, or what I eat. If you knew me, your opinions would change.
I hate war. I love people. Why people have to make enemies of each other is beyond me. I've lived in a war-torn country before, and it was terrible. I've seen people with body parts freshly blown off. My dad treated them for free.
Anyway, when you insult America, you insult me and I take it personally, because I'm American.
@knowledgethief One more thing: I don't have a problem with people who speak the truth. I have a problem with people who are insulting just to be insulting. It doesn't make people more receptive to what you have to say. It only fuels the fires of anger and bigotry and hatred.
@AmaindeJH its youtube. i know better not to quickly judge others based on a few words. though many others dont. i could look at you comments assume you were a naive uncultured christian, or bigoted red neck spewing patriotic vitriol, and rewspond accordingly but in reality your surely like the people i encounter daily: the ones i politely hold the door for, warmly smile and nod when i pass, allow the right away to while driving, etc...
@AmaindeJH youtube perception is all black and white, and context is almost never properly grasped. i was surprised to read what i said originally (the end art) and knew immediately i was enjoying the act of simply acknowledging grossly offensive stereotype and laughing at certain cultures.
i believe you have mentioned elsewhere its ok to laugh at differnt religions and culture because yours is laughed at as well. i agree.
but your initial response to my long forgotten comment suggested that its not acceptable to insult your own people as i did, and that im a traitor and should get out of the country because theres a recession and, i assume, a mosque is being built and that somehow awful /shrug.
as insulting as what i said was, it was still founded on truths and completely acceptable.
that said, "all americans are repugnant, bloated-pig fucking neanderthals"
@AmaindeJH what i said otherwise was an insulting stereotype based on truth. america IS abysmal at math and science, and its poor are often fat (they loaf about) and flatulent (they consume the cheapest food which is alway the worst filth) compared to the downtrodden masses of other nations who generally dont get to sit around and eat as much... and complain.
If it was any other religious building it would have no opposition. Our country was built upon the freedom of religion. It wasn't Muslim church. It was a few extremist terrorists hiding behind a flag of religion. This kind of opposition begets ignorance and hate. Don't get me wrong. The 9/11 attacks affected me badly. However, I don't think we need to despoil the names of those who died with violence when they were in fact, killed in an act of violence.
i always found it amusing how the leftists only cared about certain amendments: "I'll take the first, the fourth, and the fourteenth, but God no, not the ninth and tenth, get those away from me!"
@Zpmawd Osama said he wanted a war between christians and muslims. By denying the "mosque" you are trying to give Osama exactly what he wants. You are on the same side as Osama, I think you need to reevaluate you position.
@1inkdaddy Don't be ignorant. Christians have been persecuting every religion but their own for centuries (e.g., The Crusades). Should we shut down every church? Of course not! Why should we let a few extremist Christians taint the image of the many moderate Christians? Why should we let a few Islamists taint the image for the many moderate Muslim Americans? A peaceful religious group of a tax-paying American citizens should never be persecuted by their government.
Heres way the difference is THE BIBLE do not teach you to KILL, IN SLAVE,That wemon are inferior,. We have the 10 commandments that tell us to love not to kill to be a good person.
There BOOK was written by a child molester & tells them to lie to get there way.
We are taught to help people find GOD & we dont kill you if you dont!!!
@1inkdaddy The Muslims follow the Old Testament as well (and so they follow the Ten Commandments). I am sure you have times when you feel ashamed to be a Christian. You feel that someone who calls themselves a Christian did something that just 'wasn't Godlike' and you distance yourself from them. I have Muslim friends who feel the same way about Islam. Please, if you are going to prosecute someone, try to understand them first.
@1inkdaddy By the way, the Bible gives very clear instructions on how to enslave people (Exodus 21:2-6, Exodus 21: 7-11). As for the Qu'ran being written by a pedophile; Job offered up his own daughters for the towspeople to rape. Anyway, Muslims follow the Old Testament and part of the New Testament and the Qu'ran, so they subscribe to the Ten Commandements just like you. If you are going to persecute someone, please try to understand them first.
@1inkdaddy Man, you really need to read the Bible! The Old Testament is nothing BUT the murder and rape of 'heathens (or infidels)', incest, the ritual sacrifice of babies (because God asked you to) and the subjugation of women! They are ALL in the Bible and are talked about POSITIVELY. Almost every prophet is in his sixties while his wife (or wives) are teenagers!
But hey, why ACTUALLY read the Bible when you can make up what's in it to suit your own set of morals, right?
@kefluv Yes Kefluv, both the Bible and the Quran are bullshit, that's a fact. Nobody should base their arguments on these 2 stupid books (although the Quran is like a law book for the Muslims and it is deemed far more sacred by the Muslims than is the Bible by today's Christians in the West..) , it's more important to talk about their doctrines and how they affect their behaviour in the world.
@BurritoFamine What you just don't get is that when a White Male Christian goes on a rampage and kills his wife/kids/co-workers/himself, he's "disturbed."
When he's Black and goes on a rampage and kills his wife/kids/co-workers/himself, its "See how violent THEY are!"
But when a Muslim kills his wife/kids/co-workers/himself, its because "That religion is EVIL!"
Only White Christian Killers can be 'insane', everybody else who kills does it because of the 'evil nature' of their skin/religion.
@kefluv I agree with you for the most part. But you are presuming that most white americans are racists and that is a bit racist in itself. There is some truth to what you are saying, but to say that only white killers can be "insane" is presuming that only white people are racists in this country. Regarding the mosque issue, we should focus on the legality of it, not whether it is morally right or not. Law should govern a nation; not religion or sensationalsim or what offends people.
@justincase1762 I don't think most white people are racist at all.
I'm just pointing out how people of one group have the ability to see those of their own group as individuals (with no responsibilities for another's actions), while they sometimes see the 'other' as a whole (with certain inherent aspects).
As to the Community Center, build it. We live in America. Don't like the building, protest. Have a ball. It's called freedom.
@kefluv The Cordoba Mosque is a mosque first as originally told and may satisfy liberals with its arrogant claim on religious freedom but the meaning is very clear to the rest of America who doesn't live in politically correct la la land! It is an Islamic Declaration of Victory by war as it was in Spain! It sends a message that America is an easy target and victim because they don't care about the victims of Islamic terrorism and war so bomb and build away using the 5th amendment to protect you!
@marieje09 I can tell by your talking points that you watch a lot of Faux 'News', but please do some research on the people who will run the community center. They are Sufi Muslims, not Shia or Sunni, who are having the Civil War.
Sufis are not liked by some of the other branches of Islam because they are pacificist (like the Quakers) & believe that music & dancing brings you closer to God (the Dervishes).
You think its a 'Victory Mosque', I know its a community center with a swimming pool.
@kefluv This Imam is clearly an aggressive snake that works in Islam for the destruction of free America for submission to an Islamist state for Islam! He blames Islamic terrorism on America and that is obscene! By Nonie Darwish“Bridge builder” Imam Feisal Abdel Rauf, the Muslim cleric behind plans for the Ground Zero mosque, has now been exposed as a man of shrewd cunning and as a calculating stealth jihadist who supports the creation of an Islamic State, “The Ummah,” right here in America.
@kefluv Abdul Rauf has an obvious agenda against America and is an Islamist puppet for left wing media propaganda who does not want to expose his anti-American hatred and blame for terrorism today. When we know the truth it sets us free and G-d bless Fox for doing this for America! Faisel over and over blames the west, America and everyone else for all Islamic bombings by terrorists thereby making it Quranically correct and allowable to slaughter infidels by terrorist bombers! This is vile!
@kefluv The Cordoba Mosque Imam is no pacifist and blames America for Islamist terrorism by his own admission. Hamas declared support of Imam and Imam refuses to call Hamas Terrorists! He also supports Hamas terrorist bombings, 9/11 bombing , Muslim Brotherhood and disgustingly calls Cordoba Gaza in America! He blames Terrorism on America today? Puleeze! He wants to put the world on Red Alert Against Islamic Terrorism if we don't let him build the Victory Mosque! Wake up America and bury a pig!
I live in NYC, and I can tell you, 3 blocks is a world away. Also you turn, so it is on a side street. It looks as if no one will really see it, unless they purposely look for it
why is there an super US embassy in Itaq where the US has inflicted thousand of 9/11 there blowing everything up for oil? Why is there churches and US military base in Hiroshima nagasaki?
Any religious group would be sensitive and considerate of the community's objections, yet the Islamic Muslim world wants to force their way in to advance their Shiria pride to the detriment of the 911 victims and to the gloating of their trophy.
@Derail07 I am quite against any and all organized religions. I feel that the world would be quite happy without them. I do believe they have the protection of the 1st amendment and I will support that without a doubt. You need to learn there is a difference between belief and education/facts. I am not religious but have studied theology to have a better understanding of why people blindly support it. Do you even try to research things you hate or do not understand?
That is much closer than I thought it was, but there's really nothing we can do.... Our constitution allows freedom of religion. If religion is the only reason people don't want that Mosque to be there, then they have the right to build it.
"Clyde Haberman of the New York Times further explains the significance: There's that "at." For a two-letter word, it packs quite a wallop. It has been tossed around in a manner both cavalier and disingenuous, with an intention by some to inflame passions. Nobody, regardless of political leanings, would tolerate a mosq...ue at ground zero. "Near" is not the same, as anyone who paid attention back in the fourth grade should know."
That ground zero mosque building (Burlington Coat Factory) was hit by airplane parts & bodies on 9-11 - THAT IS GROUND ZERO. And, the fact is that it was the muslims from the Cordoba Initiative who first called it the "Ground Zero Mosque!"
Now, look into WHO'S FUNDING THIS MOSQUE? There are already 200 mosques in NY. Remember how offended muslims were over those Danish cartoons? Remember South Park?
Legally they have a right to build yet 70% of New Yorker's don't want it built on that piece of ground. They were offered other spots but refused. I would think any Religious organization would have the dignity and moral obligation to understand the communities objections to this location and build somewhere else in Manhattan. They can afford to build anywhere.
The voice you hear at 1:56 sounds a lot like samples of a street poet used by the post rock band Godspeed You Black Emperor in the song BBF3 on the album Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada: "The American government is one systematic government that nobody can trust. I don't trust them myself."
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
fuck islam right in the neck. what a shame that New York (on its way to becoming NUKED YORK---just a matter of time) is overrun with idiot liberal vermin. It's hard to say who is worse, filthy muslim murderers or the idiots who support them (and their own resultant suicide). 911 seconds after they cut the ribbon on the mosque it should be burned to the fucking ground...with liberals inside it. fuck free speech, this is war.
@Maarten1967 You should not talk like a hateful Muslim. You had a point until you started demeaning other people. And no, I'm not a red neck, nor am I inferior.
first amendment protects the rebuilding of the mosque, government approved it and the owner could rebuilt his mosque as he pleases as he owns that site....
READ PART ONE FIRST. YES, thats right not allowing this to be built goes against freedom of religion(1st amendment). Why? because u ARE PHYSICALLY STOPING A RELIGOUS CENTER TO BE BUILT SOLELY BECAUSE OF THE RELIGION IT IS BASED ON. Now some of u may not like the religion, BUT if u allow the right of freedom of religion to budge even an inch. NO MATTER how much U DISLIKE THIS MOSQUE. the constitution will crumble... a little hole turns into a crack which turns into rubble.
I find this kind of funny. the FACT OF THE MATTER IS as of yesterday there is a 99% chance this mosque will be built. AND WE ALL KNOW that once this mosque is built no one is actually gonna give a sh** after.... Why? because this will be old news no one will actually care and THAT is THE TRUTH. Now i have nothing against the muslim race itself... but they do have a lot of crazy people, but no matter what you do if this is stopped is goes against the first ammendment of freedom or religion. Part1
@makatician I am glad you support the first amendment. That makes you a REAL AMERICAN. I just wanted to correct you on 1 point: there is no such thing as the "Muslim race". There are Indo-European Muslims, there are African Muslims, there are Chinese Muslims, Indian Muslims etc. Muslim just refers to the group of believers who follow the religion of Islam. (Islam, Christianity and Judaism have all holy places in Jerusalem and all these 3 faiths are refered to as Abrahamic religions)
@Maarten1967 Islam are nations blinded by this cult! I notice their Propaganda site lies about the bloody founded Cordoba Mosque in Spain destroyed the church on the spot! Spain re-took their lands and built a Cathedral in it to keep the site as memorial and warning of what evil was done to them by Islam! The name picked for this Mosque deliberate against the victims and Americans and tells Islamic world we build over the victims of terrorism! It IS a ground zero Victory Mosque!
Muslims have always built mosques at the sites of their victories.
The majority of Muslims support Bin Laden, turning the US into an Islamic theocracy, and the annihilation of Israel.
Burying our heads in the sand with this "religion of peace" nonsense, is going to get us killed.
Also - I've worked dozens of construction sites - buildings are much easier to tear apart that they are to build - let 'em build it - see how long it stays there.
These fucking bastards have no respect for any other people but muslims. But dont expect that asshole Bloomberg to figure that one out. He's too busy trying to appease those from the "religion of peace" because he figures it will translate into foreign investment from the middle east into NYC. Bloomberg could give two shits about the 9-11 victims or their memories.
Lastly.. those in the Cardoba House will be promoting Sharia Law. How's that for a final insult...
i'm so sick of the argument that "we brought 9-11 upon us". We supply Palestine with hundreds of millions of dollars every year, and all of it goes to the PLO. Israel sends goods into Palestine and they respond by firing rockets into Tel Aviv. The Muslims are the most intolerant people in the entire world when it comes to recognizing other religions, yet they are the first to cry foul when someone opposes their views. They're known the world over for their hypocrisy. Wake up you Western dummies!
One of the engines from the northbound aircraft crashed through the roof of the Burlington Coat Factory Building. When the Towers collapsed the debris rendered the building uninhabitable for years. In the debris zone means inside the Ground Zero National Battlefield Site.
Muslims have been burning the American flag for years in their anti-US "Death to America" rallies. 9-11 was an act of war. There have been nearly 16,000 terrorist attacks worldwide just since 9-11. What else needs to burn before people begin to wake up & speak up. Do they need to come to your front door & threaten your life before you'll do anything about it? They are at WAR with us even though we're not at war with Islam. Try not to be a dhimwit.
@Hercules2345 maybe thats because the US has played a pretty shady role in the Muslim world. After the fall of the British empire the US has taken it upon itself to assume the role as the leaders of the world meddling in state affairs, assassinating beloved leaders and supplying Israel with a military arsenal whose effects we bleed from and many homes demolished in the land that was not to long ago called Palestine. How many people died in the Gulf war and the present war? those r people too
@Yemilady The US gov't does everything it does w/o my approval. This argument is a distraction fallacy so lets stick to the issue at hand because 2 wrongs don't make a right. Besides, watch this video:
Airplane parts and bodies hit that building on 9-11 - THAT IS GROUND ZERO. I am thoroughly disgusted by this rhetoric and dumb dhimmi propaganda. It's insulting & offensive. You seem to have forgotten that we were attacked on 9-11 in an act of WAR by Islamic terrorists. I will NEVER forget that. I will NEVER accept any mosque at or near ground zero - EVER! Please try not to be a dhimwit.
@Hercules2345 I find it offensive too --- that it's so far away. I was hoping it was right on the goddamned "ground zero" so right wing racist fucktards like you could choke on your tongue.
@PirateEyepatch Actually, you dumb piece of shit I have NEVER been a republican nor right wing - I disagree with them on almost everything so, shut our pie hole.
In the immortal words of Jon Stewart himself (may his beardless chin rest in peace) go fuck yourself.
If Osama Bin Laden sent some of his lackeys to go and build a dance hall there to celebrate in, I might be pissed off, but, as it is, I don't see any offense in building a place of worship with no relation to anyone at all involved with 9/11.
@NerdInAnoraks Islam has a 1,400 year history of terrorist attacks then, building a mosque over or near the site symbolizing CONQUEST to muslims worldwide
"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
- Omar M. Ahmad, founder of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
If you're not outraged then you're not paying attention
@Hercules2345 Hey douche, it is a community center, not a mosque. A mosque cannot have a restaurant or a swimming pool. The most mosque-ish thing it has is a prayer room. Calling this place a mosque is like calling a YMCA a church.
@dubya68 You need to know they are now calling many mosque's around the world community centers. There is no moderate view leadership of any type to negotiate with and to monitor the mosques as with other faiths .Each mosque seems to have different clerics with different views. No one seems to know what aspects of the religion are acceptable in a democracy and what is not. That is why there is such resistance and why moderate Muslims are frustrated.
@quizerry I disagree with the whole mosque's are being called community centers, but otherwise you make good points. Yeah, the things that the Imam is saying are extremely questionable, but he also was the go-to guy when it came to dealing with counterterrorism tactics after 9/11 and was working with Bush. I don't think that he would be able to subvert our laws with Sharia anyways, that would face too much opposition from the courts, xtians, jews, atheists, libertarians, republicans, etc.
@dubya68 If you think they would face any "official" opposition, then you need to look up the pervasiveness of Sharia laws which have slowly and silently crept into the judicial systems of both England and France. They are just now beginning to cope with where they went wrong by allowing their systems to be infiltrated by their inept attempts at political correctness and how has started to bite them where they s(h)it!
@tugbowen 181 Interpretation is complicated, however, by the fact that exercise of religion usually entails ritual or other practices that constitute ''conduct'' rather than pure ''belief.'' When it comes to protecting conduct as free exercise, the Court has been inconsistent
@tugbowen 182 It has long been held that the Free Exercise Clause does not necessarily prevent government from requiring the doing of some act or forbidding the doing of some act merely because religious beliefs underlie the conduct in question.
@tugbowen The Constitution will prevent Sharia law from being implemented in America. It is religion based and the government cannot enforce religious laws. Also, Muslims make up a far smaller percentage of people in America and an even smaller percentage of said Muslims oppose Sharia law themselves. Not every muslim is a pro-stoning polygamist, just like every Christian isn't a pagan temple-burning looter or thinks kissing before marriage is wrong.
All religions are peaceful- so you shouldn't argue.

Then I thought to see if anyone had already done it. I can't believe the mainstream media hasn't shown your video or made their own.
I would love 1 w/ a host, pointing out other businesses, all closer than the proposed mosque site.
Thanks again for making this!

but your initial response to my long forgotten comment suggested that its not acceptable to insult your own people as i did, and that im a traitor and should get out of the country because theres a recession and, i assume, a mosque is being built and that somehow awful /shrug.
as insulting as what i said was, it was still founded on truths and completely acceptable.
that said, "all americans are repugnant, bloated-pig fucking neanderthals"
see? does that really hurt?
knowledgethief 1 year ago

@BurritoFamine Your soo wrong
1inkdaddy 1 year ago

@1inkdaddy
evidently the Bible doesn't teach you how to spell or put a sentence together eh
suhwhutdee 1 year ago
@1inkdaddy Man, you really need to read the Bible! The Old Testament is nothing BUT the murder and rape of 'heathens (or infidels)', incest, the ritual sacrifice of babies (because God asked you to) and the subjugation of women! They are ALL in the Bible and are talked about POSITIVELY. Almost every prophet is in his sixties while his wife (or wives) are teenagers!
But hey, why ACTUALLY read the Bible when you can make up what's in it to suit your own set of morals, right?
kefluv 1 year ago 2

Only White Christian Killers can be 'insane', everybody else who kills does it because of the 'evil nature' of their skin/religion.
kefluv 1 year ago 2
@kefluv I agree with you for the most part. But you are presuming that most white americans are racists and that is a bit racist in itself. There is some truth to what you are saying, but to say that only white killers can be "insane" is presuming that only white people are racists in this country. Regarding the mosque issue, we should focus on the legality of it, not whether it is morally right or not. Law should govern a nation; not religion or sensationalsim or what offends people.
justincase1762 1 year ago
@justincase1762 I don't think most white people are racist at all.
I'm just pointing out how people of one group have the ability to see those of their own group as individuals (with no responsibilities for another's actions), while they sometimes see the 'other' as a whole (with certain inherent aspects).
As to the Community Center, build it. We live in America. Don't like the building, protest. Have a ball. It's called freedom.
kefluv 1 year ago
@kefluv The Cordoba Mosque is a mosque first as originally told and may satisfy liberals with its arrogant claim on religious freedom but the meaning is very clear to the rest of America who doesn't live in politically correct la la land! It is an Islamic Declaration of Victory by war as it was in Spain! It sends a message that America is an easy target and victim because they don't care about the victims of Islamic terrorism and war so bomb and build away using the 5th amendment to protect you!
marieje09 1 year ago
@marieje09 I can tell by your talking points that you watch a lot of Faux 'News', but please do some research on the people who will run the community center. They are Sufi Muslims, not Shia or Sunni, who are having the Civil War.
Sufis are not liked by some of the other branches of Islam because they are pacificist (like the Quakers) & believe that music & dancing brings you closer to God (the Dervishes).
You think its a 'Victory Mosque', I know its a community center with a swimming pool.
kefluv 1 year ago
@kefluv This Imam is clearly an aggressive snake that works in Islam for the destruction of free America for submission to an Islamist state for Islam! He blames Islamic terrorism on America and that is obscene! By Nonie Darwish“Bridge builder” Imam Feisal Abdel Rauf, the Muslim cleric behind plans for the Ground Zero mosque, has now been exposed as a man of shrewd cunning and as a calculating stealth jihadist who supports the creation of an Islamic State, “The Ummah,” right here in America.
marieje09 1 year ago
@kefluv Abdul Rauf has an obvious agenda against America and is an Islamist puppet for left wing media propaganda who does not want to expose his anti-American hatred and blame for terrorism today. When we know the truth it sets us free and G-d bless Fox for doing this for America! Faisel over and over blames the west, America and everyone else for all Islamic bombings by terrorists thereby making it Quranically correct and allowable to slaughter infidels by terrorist bombers! This is vile!
marieje09 1 year ago
@kefluv The Cordoba Mosque Imam is no pacifist and blames America for Islamist terrorism by his own admission. Hamas declared support of Imam and Imam refuses to call Hamas Terrorists! He also supports Hamas terrorist bombings, 9/11 bombing , Muslim Brotherhood and disgustingly calls Cordoba Gaza in America! He blames Terrorism on America today? Puleeze! He wants to put the world on Red Alert Against Islamic Terrorism if we don't let him build the Victory Mosque! Wake up America and bury a pig!

NO MATTER how much U DISLIKE THIS MOSQUE. the constitution will crumble... a little hole turns into a crack which turns into rubble.
makatician 1 year ago
I find this kind of funny. the FACT OF THE MATTER IS as of yesterday there is a 99% chance this mosque will be built. AND WE ALL KNOW that once this mosque is built no one is actually gonna give a sh** after.... Why? because this will be old news no one will actually care and THAT is THE TRUTH. Now i have nothing against the muslim race itself... but they do have a lot of crazy people, but no matter what you do if this is stopped is goes against the first ammendment of freedom or religion. Part1
makatician 1 year ago
@makatician I am glad you support the first amendment. That makes you a REAL AMERICAN. I just wanted to correct you on 1 point: there is no such thing as the "Muslim race". There are Indo-European Muslims, there are African Muslims, there are Chinese Muslims, Indian Muslims etc. Muslim just refers to the group of believers who follow the religion of Islam. The majority of Muslims support Bin Laden, turning the US into an Islamic theocracy, and the annihilation of Israel.

Also - I've worked dozens of construction sites - buildings are much easier to tear apart that they are to build - let 'em build it - see how long it stays there.

i'm so sick of the argument that "we brought 9-11 upon us".

@Hercules2345 Hey douche, it is a community center, not a mosque. A mosque cannot have a restaurant or a swimming pool. The most mosque-ish thing it has is a prayer room. Calling this place a mosque is like calling a YMCA a church.
dubya68 1 year ago 2
@dubya68 You need to know they are now calling many mosque's around the world community centers. There is no moderate view leadership of any type to negotiate with and to monitor the mosques as with other faiths .Each mosque seems to have different clerics with different views. No one seems to know what aspects of the religion are acceptable in a democracy and what is not. That is why there is such resistance and why moderate Muslims are frustrated.
quizerry 1 year ago
@quizerry I disagree with the whole mosque's are being called community centers, but otherwise you make good points. Yeah, the things that the Imam is saying are extremely questionable, but he also was the go-to guy when it came to dealing with counterterrorism tactics after 9/11 and was working with Bush. I don't think that he would be able to subvert our laws with Sharia anyways, that would face too much opposition from the courts, xtians, jews, atheists, libertarians, republicans, etc.
dubya68 1 year ago
@dubya68 If you think they would face any "official" opposition, then you need to look up the pervasiveness of Sharia laws which have slowly and silently crept into the judicial systems of both England and France. They are just now beginning to cope with where they went wrong by allowing their systems to be infiltrated by their inept attempts at political correctness and how has started to bite them where they s(h)it!
tugbowen 1 year ago
@tugbowen 181 Interpretation is complicated, however, by the fact that exercise of religion usually entails ritual or other practices that constitute ''conduct'' rather than pure ''belief.'' When it comes to protecting conduct as free exercise, the Court has been inconsistent
jlaffoon24 1 year ago
@tugbowen 182 It has long been held that the Free Exercise Clause does not necessarily prevent government from requiring the doing of some act or forbidding the doing of some act merely because religious beliefs underlie the conduct in question.
jlaffoon24 1 year ago
@tugbowen The Constitution will prevent Sharia law from being implemented in America. It is religion based and the government cannot enforce religious laws. Also, Muslims make up a far smaller percentage of people in America and an even smaller percentage of said Muslims oppose Sharia law themselves. Not every muslim is a pro-stoning polygamist, just like every Christian isn't a pagan temple-burning looter or thinks kissing before marriage is wrong.
