I've been searching for this song. I heard it a long time ago when Mullins played at a really small festy in Wapakoneta Ohio. Thanks for posting it here. It's my all time favorite.
@banjometal I think of all the "jam bands" that have been compared to the Dead in the past 15 years, Ekoostik Hookah came the closest, yet still creating their own, unique sound. Especially the stuff with John. Saw this band over 50 times growing up but it's been a few years. Check out the albums Dubbahbuddah and Where The Fields Grow Green if you want to check out some more!
I can see my bluebird crying Her eyes sparkle in the rain She's finally to fly With her sadness and her pain She's paid the price of freedom With her love her love and with her tear Said you cant love her now When you've already had a year and you failed to love her and you soon discover Bluebird has flown away And shes got nothing left to say Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh Bluebird is comin home
I can see my bluebirds flyin Her silhouette before the sun Rememberin just what it means to fly As a new dawn has begun And i'm flyin right behind her And i'd hope that she would see Love is more than a business deal Well atleast it is to me And I sing it for her But while you just ignore her Bluebird has flown away And shes got nothing left to say Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh Bluebird is flying home
