One hell of a game. It remains depressingly awesome even if you don't have the time to roll it real-time/2x.

For me, the "best" moment in the game is the pause after first strikes at Defcon 1. Everyone ways for someone to launch it all. When he launches all, you just think "now is my chance!" and shoot all YOU got. Then the next country thinks "this is my chance!" and shoots all he has against YOU. And then the next country...

I played the demo for the first time last night; this game scared the hell out of me. The music is the most chilling I've ever heard for a PC game. Great video kikinchaz - very haunting.

On The Full Game It Is Amzing , There Is Offic Mode. full real time. 1 minute in real life, is one minute in game. it takes like almost a hour for missils from europe to hit america. its really fun.

Seeing a city get hit and the number of casualties pop up is sobering. This game has to be one of the more interesting ones to have hit the market.

I was in 10th grade and watched the movie premiere of The Day After in Sept '83.....sheesh scared the piss out of me.

I have enjoyed this game. The in-game music and ambiance is very unsettling and is appropriate to set the mood of what you are going to do to hundreds of millions of innocent people.

The track from 0:16 to 1:15 or so is my favorite one in the whole game.

Can you select this track throughout the entire game play? This fits what happening so well instead of some dumb hard rock nonsense.

Europe is smaller, has less area to cover with defenses, so the defense is tighter. Probably wouldn't work that way in real life but this doesn't really need to degenerate into another 'US pwn da euroep!" does it eh?

Pretty good but the constant high-speed gives the wrong impression and takes away the Wargames feel, making it look like more of a regular RTS.

The high speed was added in areas to speed up the video so that firstly viewers didnt have to sit there watching for 5 minutes to see any action, but secondly to ensure the time of the video was kept low.

Video was one of the winners in the end :)
