  • My stove is the same size as yours.

  • Thanks for posting this. I am going to Afghanistan and they have laundry "service". You are at their mercy and clothes are known to disappear..I am looking at this so I can do my own laundry and maybe keep it a little nicer (when they do it your clothes change colors). I will look to see if you posted a spinner review, thanks!.

  • Bucket + wooden sleave(spelling?) = profit.

  • I just ordered one for my survival kit. This would be a great thing to have on hand in case of a power failure or extended absence of electricity. I will use it in the meantime for my small loads. I agree with InvisiMan...you did a great demo!!!

  • Hi solitaryref, thank you for uploading this video. For a single person, do you recommend the 3200rpm or the 1600rpm spin dryer?

  • Nice video. Im getting one for my baby's cloth diapers. I am guessing we will be using this for all our clothes especially dedicates and printed Tshirts. Thanks.

  • Does pouring the water to the liquid detergent not mix the detergent enough? No need to get your hands into hot water. Thanks for the post.

  • "5 pairs of shirts." hmmm... 10 shirts in that little thing? very nice.

  • Yup! so.. I just got mine today and used it. It was very easy to put together and easy to use. My 12 year old is in the kitchen right now washing her school uniforms. She loves it also. Next month we will get a spin dryer. Oh.. and yeah, the clothes came out clean. To me it cleaned my clothes just as good as a regular washer. If that changes I will return with an update.

  • Baby I would love to wash your cloths ! You are just so damn cute ! I like a clean man and your so damn cute ! Where do you live at ,I will bring my cloths with me and share and I am not joking ! Your so sweet in looking out for your landlord not many people do it ,but you for got one thing . Your using the water so I guess your even ! Smile's handsome baby !

  • its really squeaky!

  • Thanks for filming this :D I JUST ordered one and it will be coming in soon. I live in an apartment with no hookups and my husband and I always have piles of laundry just because we can't get to a laundry facility easily. We have no car! So this will certainly help us, especially with work clothes and our eternal pile of socks X_X Thanks!

  • This is the best video I have seen in a long time thanks! I am sold on it, and I will toast you when I use it the 1st time!

    Cheers!

  • Just ordered one was torn between a portable washing machine and this, sounds starnge but i like the idea of doing the work myself gonna add the spin dryer next month nice demo its perfect for my small apartment

  • I was wondering about this product. Thanks for posting-- I am going to buy one with my next paycheck!

  • I two loads of clothes this morning, and it turned out great!

I even use liquid fabric softener. My spin dryer got lost in transit. I emailed laundry-alternatives and without any further delay sent me another!

  • Beer or wine in your demo makes the THE BEST demo on YT for any product!!!

  • I just purchased one of these . . . I love it. It's working great for small loads and clothes that I wear frequently like dainties, shirts and pants. It also works to soak extremely dirty clothes for a while and then turn the crank and wash them. I love it also because I am officially "green" now and I'm hoping to develop arms like the President's wife, Michelle. This is really good upper body exercise and I can do it while I'm watching the news. Hooray!!

  • thanks! after having to deal with rude people at the laudromat today, i'm going online to fine one of these washers today!

  • @kellytaylor407 LOLZ There are ALWAYS rude ppl at the laudromat. They are miserable places! I saw it online for $40!

  • I wash alot of clothes by hand like my dress shirts or speciality t-shirts from Japan...do you think this would be a good product? I live in a eenny meeny studio apt & I am skeptical about the on-site community coin op washer too. It's $40 on Amazon, I don't think it would break my bank! thx for the upload.

  • @mslizard - I have been using this for over a year as my only way of washing clothes. It has never let me down. I do have to go to a friends house if I am washing something big like a comforter. Since you are washing by hand a lot, I think you might like this. The pressure cleans the clothes nicely while being very gentle. It is also very easy to store when not in use. If you get one, post back and let us know what you think. Good luck!

  • @solitaryref do regular (heavy) jeans fit into the wonderwash?

  • @bobbytmathew Yes, I will typically do two pairs of jeans and a shirt. Three pairs of jeans are a little too much for my liking.

  • @solitaryref thanks. i might get this soon.

  • @2new2011 Thanks for the info. Yeah I don't like getting my hands all soapy when I need to handwash something. I haven't got around to getting one yet. I bet you will have really well toned arms in no time!

  • I still have been using this for months and months! The only thing that is a pain is the bed sheets. I can only do one sheet at a time.

  • @solitaryref I thought I was going to live in my laundry-less apartment for a while, but last year I moved to my dad's house and this year I moved to a house where we have a front-loader... I am so glad; otherwise, I would have at least bought the spin-dryer...

  • thank you so much for making this video! I may be purchasing this soon as I currently have to take the train to get to the nearest laundromat. thanks again!! :)

  • i should be getting mine on the 3rd! cant wait!

  • I gotta say, this is awsome. One less way of relying on electricity and electric appliances. I wish I thought of something like this when I lived in an apartment.

  • Good video, gonna use this in my dorm along with a mini centrifugal dryer! =)

  • Does anyone who has one of these ever try to wash kids shoes in them? Thanks.

  • How often do you do laundry usually? I do mine about every 3 days because I have 3 t-shirts and a lot of dress shirts that I wear, so I change about twice a day go to school, come home and go to work and then come home take a shower, study, watch tv or listen to music and then I'm off to bed by 10 PM

  • How you gonna' troll for chicks if you aren't going to the laundromat with nothing to do but chat for an hour waiting for your loads to finish up? Good vid!

  • Great $ saver, but you can also do a double rinse to be sure the detergent is gone, because it is caustic, and can burn your skin (not everyone, but some people).

So double rinsing is a good idea, and that spin dryer you have is a great companion for this washer.

Thanks for the demo, nice work.

  • I wonder if you could hook this up to a stationary bicycle.

  • @wishinghand that would be a great idea! exercise and do your laundry at the same time :)

  • Looking to purchase one for an RV but which one works best? The wonder wash or the wonder washer? RV has a generator so electricity isnt a problem. Thanks.

  • I personally like the Wonder Wash (hand powered). I think the pressure created inside cleans the clothes better. I also love that it has a drain spout to remove the water. With the Wonder Washer (electric) you have to dump the bucket out. I can honestly say the Wonder Wash gets my clothes really clean. If you don't mind turning the handle for a few minutes, go with the Wonder Wash. You also don't have to worry about a motor breaking.

  • Wonderwash really should pay you a commission because your helping them sell these things for sure. Thanks

  • Pressure would cause the water to flow when draining. The water is slow to drain when there is the opposite of built-up pressure, namely, a vacuum.

So while there is pressure (an increase in air-density from the outside environment) within the unit, it's released almost immediately upon draining, replaced then by a decrease in air-density from the outside environment, and the flow is slowed. Remove the top--the pressure is balanced and the flow continues unimpeded.

  • my mom had one of these when I was a lil kid it was fun to use but they can be a pain in the ass lol

  • Cool, thanks for the video demo. A funny thing, I stopped a Nick Cave song on my music player in order to listen to your video, and there's Nick Cave again! I'm going to seriously consider purchasing this washing machine.

  • can u fit a queen size sheet by itself?

and later a queen size comforter blanket?

do these ship to australia?and do u find if u spin even faster it gets cleaner,or for say 5mins even better again?

why don't u drain it with the clothes in it,after u wash cycle, then fill with clear fresh water n spin again, even repeat to get it rinsed, might work then through into the spinner

  • I can only fit full size sheets in. I have never tried queen size. Queen size might be a little too much for this. I definitely can not fit a comforter in. You might want to check with the Laundry Alternative to see if they ship to Australia. I think the speed of spinning does not matter much, but the time does. If you have really dirty stuff just keep doing it for longer. After cleaning I do just add cold water back in and spin for about 30 sec. This seems to work well. Good luck!

  • Just ordered mine :) Dude, you should have a link or something to collect some commission for selling these!!

  • Just ordered mine this weekend. I'm hopeful. I've heard mixed reviews about ordering from this company, but I'm going to take a chance. Can't wait to give my own opinion on how quickly it arrived and how well it works.

  • You don't pay electric? The only time I could ever avoid that was if I rented a room at a rooming house, I haven't found an apartment where you could live without paying electric...

  • very nice video, thanks!

  • I simply suggested my daughter marry a dry cleaner.

George and Weezy are so happy now..

    :)

  • I got one of these last week after watching this video. It works great. No waiting around for washing machine cycles, that's what I like about it. Among other things.

  • I heard that you need to use hot water. Is this true?

  • Yes you use hot water and the pressure from the hot water forces the soap into the clothes which makes the wonder wash very efficient and enables it to clean the clothes in a very short time ( just a couple minutes). Contrary to what Littleone 2012 said, the machine won't break if use properly. My tip though is to put just a bit of lube on the three pivot points (handle and two axles), they heat up and expand and begin to squeek and get harder to turn, I applied bearing lube with tooth pick.

  • Thanks Nick, I found this review very useful.

  • How to do laundry? Easy ways, 1. buy 2 buckets (plastic). 2. Use a plunger (it works). Drain the clothes in the bathroom tub. Rinse clothes in bucket. Then after draining, put clothes on dryer rack or hanger. I usually put them in the basement. The bucket are easy than that thing. Take my word for it. I wash my expensive clothes in the buckets with purex.

You can save this tip when your washing machines breaks. Take care. I did like your other washer. It was cute.

  • I just found this Wonder Wash online and really like the idea. Then I found your review. Thanks a lot!!! What do you think now, after using your previous Wonder Washer (AC powered) and this hand powered one? Which one gets the clothes cleaner? Which one is easier to use (rinse, construction of the washer, etc). I don't mind the hand power...

  • I like this hand powered one a little better than the AC powered one. I feel it gets the clothes cleaner. It can be a pain turning the handle if you are doing many loads, but I feel it is worth it. The legs are made out of a very light weight plastic, but have held up fine so far. If they break, I should be able to fix it with a trip to a hardware store. I also think rinsing the clothes is better in this one. For the price I have not found anything better (yet).

  • HI . Great Demo's of these products. I'm thinking of getting one for my daughter.
