@regulators88 please dont say that. I like to believe he's still 25 cuz otherwise it seems so wrong that i think hes super hot LOL :) dont be old richie
Bon Jovi were damn great! During 80's they were pretty great group but it wasn't until early 90's when their talent truly started shining. Keep the Faith was a masterpiece-album! These Days was great too, really great lyrical content there.
Sadly nowadays the band are nothing like they once were.
@ron20106 I think Richie is a wayyy better guitarplayer than Ace!! just listen to Dry County! Ace has cool solos too, very melodic, but Richie is technically much much better than Ace ever was!
Summer of 1984 a little known band ratt opened for billy squier. The next year a little known band called bonjovi opened for ratt. it was an outdoor theatre. still daytime, so no light show or any special affects. a few people in the seats. more comming in for the main band Ratt. I wish I would of taken pictures. I was like 5th row back. I think bonjovi's hit then was "in & out of love".The next year a little known band called poison(1st tour) opened for ratt.Pretty cool huh! Those were the days!
love this sorta stuff, u had the early things, u had the proper ones like livin on a prayer, u had gr8 live shows such as these days in wembley but now theres hardly n e fin, 2 prove, i have 2 say they arnt good these days
Dry County?! That song is on the Keep The Faith album which was released in 1992 not in 1985! At that time the band had only two albums: "Bon Jovi" and "7800° Fahrenheit"! Okay, it's similar to Dry County's solo but let's just say that's "Burning For Love", alright?
I agree, 'Only Lonely' is classic early stuff! I wish they'd play these tracks live as well as 'Edge of a broken heart!' Glory days, not as good now unfortunately, different but not as good! They were raw then had points to prove!
nice description. I would say that JBJ was equally hungry those days and an absolutely amazing frontman. However, overall, Richie Sambora is the reason for which Bon Jovi stood out from all those hair metallers.
The last solo is from the song Only Lonely (It says at the end), one of the many Bon Jovi songs from 7800 Fahrenheit that I wish they'd decide to preform live again for us :)
"Sad to say their just a shadow of their former selves." - Sad to say that I have to agree... Still they have good music, it's just not Rock anymore...
Well other than disagreeing with Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora 'being a shadow of their former selves' I think this is great, and Richie will always be the greatest, IMO.

after new jersey they changed their sound and lost their die hard fans
WINFIELD120 2 years ago
They changed their sound because Jon nearly fucked his vocals beyond recognition. Their fans remained the same.

They're the exact same...Just Older and at a half-pitch down live. They're still very powerful and very cute.

That was "Burning for Love". It sounds that way, though...a little bit more metallish, though.
