Safer Sepiroth gains:

30,000 HP for every level 99 character

80,000 HP for using KotR on Jenova.SYNTHESIS

Basically, Safer Sepiroth can get a total of 400,000 HP if you do those things.

If your party is strong enough one , maybee two nights of the round even at level three will own both these battles. Mine was not mastered and still won easily. Probably one of the best or the greatest rpg's ever released in my own opinion .

Okay so i think i'm screwed, i'm in the area before you fight him and my characters are 57, 56, and 54, and i don't have all my characters health maxed or their materia.

@BretStroup To be honest that's how this guy is suppose to be fought...I've noticed by the time I get to the end of the game in all Sqaure games I'm in the 50's...fighting the boss like this gives players the challenge that was intended. It's possible to win but it will be difficult...the reason why I'm so strong is because I went to go fight the weapons first before fighting Sephiroth.

@fault3k That's the point the creators were trying to convey. Here he is not fighing Sephiroth. He is fighting himself, that little bit that is still living inside him. Over time, and with Cloud's recollection in the lifestream in Mideel, the difficulty of this boss fight shows how Cloud is stronger now, strong enough to overpower the Jenova cell's influence over him.

Well, actually it IS Sephiroth who he is fighting. Sephiroth is part of everyone with JENOVA cells because of the cells and his power to control them. But it is not really wrong what he wrote.

I beat him again the other day on lv 60 just using his shadow flare against him (E. Skill is a great materia). I didn't feel like going through and defeating all the weapons again or getting everyone to 99 and all thier limits or all summons. I was surprised how fast you can beat the game. I'm sure you can beat it at a lower level but thats wht level cloud was. Set up was: Cloud, Red XIII and Vincent.

This game used to be worth hundreds of dollars but now it's easy to find through PS1 ISO's and you can download it for $10 on the Playstation Store to play on your PSP/PS3 so I recommend you just do that instead. But as for leveling...I just trained in the Gold Saucer and the final dungeon which your not gonna see for a while lol...As for now just follow the story and never run away from a fight and your level will be fine.

its actually easy to level up, if you just stop and level up every once in a while, and do some of the optional boss batles, you should be good, also if you beat the black weapon you get cloud's ultima weapon, which is freakin awesome, but overall sephi isn't that hard of a battle, its definitly awesome though

I remember the first time I fought Sephiroth a few years ago... took me two and a half hours to finish. (I wasn't a great rpgamer back then so I didn't even have terra flare but I did have knights of the round). I got hit by that commet thing about 6 times (ARGH!!!) and got turned into frogs who knows how many times. I beat himin the end (thx to megalixers) but DAMN! Let's just say, second time i played through the game, I made sure I had the ultimate weapons and such and it was much easier.

I have also completed FF7 many times and I also do sometimes struggle against Sephiroth if I don't use the likes of KoR, Bahamut ZERO or 4XCUT.

It's not as easy as some people think, but if you compare it to Ruby Weapon, it's easy as hell.

There's an easy way to beat Ruby Weapon. Just knock 2 characters out so you're left with only Cloud alive, then summon hades X2 with W-Summon once on the claws, once on Ruby. Then Weapon won't move and you can start spamming KOTR that way, he can't counter KOTR with Ultima! That's Ruby pwned rofl! Make sure to have big guard enemy skill and link the Final Attack materia to Pheonix for auto-life!

Sephiroth's stats are based on level. Also, his HP is based on whether you've used Knights of the Round on the previous two bosses.

Fight Safer Sephiroth at level 99 without Ribbon, a fair amount of megalixers (maybe 3 or 4) like you should if it's only your 1st time playing. Trust me, he's not that easy.

Even being a 10 year veteran and beating this game many MANY times over the years, i still face defeat sometimes if my setup is like that.

when i fought seifer sephiroth i countered his first hit with cloud and then hit onislash and did way less than his actual hp and i was pissed off cuz i wanted to get hit with supernova.

Ive always owned him easily at around lvl 40. To be honest Sephiroth was always one of the 'easier' final fantasy bosses Square came out with, despite what the story makes of him.

But there are only 2 real issues with him. 1 being his morph he will cast on people after Pale Horse (you should have atleast 1 ribbon by now, then use that guy to remedy), then his supernova which drops your health down to almost nothing, and can cause confuse (also someone should have a ribbon, if not two people)

Yea it's possible but it's going to be a tough fight..Sqaure Enix games usually end with the main character in the 50's just from the story alone ( besides going at of your way to level up). So you being at this level was suppose to be the way Sephiroth was fought. In my case I overleved because I thought the weapons was going to be eaiser then Sephiroth and I new I had to be in the 70's to stand a chance against them. Then after killing them Sephiroth was a joke.

Theres always a harder optional boss then then final boss in Square games so what I usually do now is kill the optional bosses first so the final boss doesnt stand in my way from seeing my well deserved ending.

sorry if this is a little rude, but you should really work on your magic power, its kinda pathetic, even with his shield it should do more than that, and you should of used knights of the round twice. get three mime materia and have everyone mimic the two knights of the round and it doesnt cost any magic points.

Basically it's bit pointless, as long as they are decently trained they'll do just fine and I'm not really even sure wether it matters or not if they die.

But yeah, you can change to other party members to fight with them when your current team you fought with keeps up fighting automatically "apparently" how ever most of the time they are doing just fine so no need to pay attention at them.
