this crash was at 200 km/h on the fastest corner at the Clipsel 500. The car was a Fujitsu class V8. Cooper died of internal injuries. He did not deserve to die, No driver does.
Personally, I think if you respect this man as a great driver, you would post a tribute video of him doing what he did best..not footage of him dying with some heartfelt backing track.. poor taste I'm sorry. Thumbs down, but I'm sure you meant well and you'll know better next time.
The crash that killed Earnhardt in NASCAR wasn't a particularly hard hit but the angle of it was what got him and he wasn't wearing a HANS device he hated them called them a noose, it would have saved his life I believe. It is sad to loser a racer doing what they love.
ufortunetly it doesnt take much of a knock to kill some one even with all modern safety gear. i have an uncle who used to do up hill racing and spun his car didnt hit any thing and it broke his back now hes stuck in a wheel chair for the rest of him life he still got off lightly compaired to this driver.
@sathernut ill post this for the benefit of everyone. His seat mountings broke off and he flew into the wall and or the cage inside the cabin. that is why at the start the camera cant see him sitting behind the wheel. Because he's not there. He on the floor of the car somewhere. Its why the police are so anal about modified seating in road going cars. Why it requires engineering certification. Your seat belt will only work if the seat stays attached to the car. Its so sad
Get a cup of water and walk into a wall and see what happens! We are made up of well over 50% water, Sudden stop and the weight of the car that follows. Very sad someone so dedicated to his sport is no longer here to share the pasion.

How did this actually kill him? It didnt even hit THAT hard. I mean in terms of V8 supercars, and it hit on the passenger side.
Its sad he had to die.
sathernut 3 years ago
i no i dont see how it killed him but he didnt deserve 2 die so i agree wit u
