its a loose jack where the nut is stripped and the input is hanging loose creating a broken response depending on which postion the cord is angled. i used to have the same problem, but then i took an arrow to the knee

Tom's guitar was running though 2 different amps, the cleaner one was dying, or had a bad cable in the line. He noticed it, that is why he said "fuck my guitar" and played the break with a different sound than it should be, and he asked "d'ya like it?" Nacho66 was right, he handled it like a pro. Kunichax is right also, Tom cannot sing live, but he has said it himself before.

He actually use it. I agree that his guitar-skills aint nothing compared to players like Slash, Angus Young, Kirk Hammet and Jimi Hendrix. But I think the most important thing, is how the music sound. If u can make music that sound good, I think u are talented. I like Blinks music.

@chroylikesfish LOL. Brian May and Jimmy Page are streets ahead of guitarists like Slash. EVH is excellent, but his playing mostly lacks emotion and his solos rely mostly on sheer speed (except Dreams... that's a beautiful solo).

Hendrix was revolutionary, but if you were to compare his talent to modern guitarists, in my opinion, he has been surpassed. Gutiarists like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Richie Sambora would give him a run for his money. Knopfler. Vai. Satriani. Clapton. Schon. All greats.
