@gotitans999 trust me - this particular vid is this UPPER deck. I'm sure anyone who's flown SQ's 380s in Y on the upper deck (while we still could) will back me up on this one. The curvature of the walls should be a giveaway that this is part of the ceiling of the 380. Down below the walls are str8 up (or, as come have complained, curve outwards, robbing them of much valued "leaning" space).
Thanks for the comments guys - unfortunately SQ is going way of other 380 carriers as all the future 380s are having the upper Y deck zone removed in favour of an all J class upper deck.
The website seatmaps now reflect this change - I've read differing reports about the existing 380 fleet - some say they'll keep the existing ones as is and some say they'll retrofit the existing fleet to all J class upstairs.
Which, when you think about it, almost throws the novelty of flying the 380 out the
@jboi777 Though they will fly the new A380's with all-business class upper decks, the original batch of SQ's 11 A380s will continue with their existing seating layouts.
It's true about going up and down the staircase, I did that on a recent trip and filmed it. Would not have been allowed if it had been business class up there.
@jboi777 now the singapore airlines also flies a380 to melbourne. same with qantas to london and LA. so 6 flights to and from melbourne with the A380 now. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
Yup ... I was hoping for 81k but i was lucky to get the seat as there were about 6 others behind me vying for 81 A/C or J/K - this was when the 380 was relatively new.
This is the upper deck. On the main deck, looking from left to right - it's big! The walls are almost straight, unlike on the upper deck, where they are very curved.
Not sure if its true, but some say upper deck economy class are pretty crammed.

I sat in this seat to London and loved the legroom. Pity about the lack of window view.
