  • Thanks-I worked on these for about 10 years, but it was a long time ago, and it is NOT like riding a bicycle, as I found out when I tried fixing my old Rhodes up for my daughter to play. question: What sort of glue do you use for the hammer tips? I see the brand name Loctite, but is it any particular type?

(Don't want the wrong glue to attract crustaceans, that would be very shellfish)

    All hail Vintage Vibe

  • Hey guys, my hammers have grooved steps on the surface that the tips are glued to, presumable to give the glue some crevices to adhere to. In this video I see the surfaces are flat. Should I keep the original grooves or should I attempt to flatten them out?

  • 1:33 crustaceans hahaha! You guys rock man thanks for all the videos!

  • Well, I've got the kit, installed the damper felts and am ready for the hammers. I see I'm right with you, because here in Tulsa, we always listen to Leon while working on keyboards!!

  • Ah, Leon, no one like him! Good ole Oklahoma boy! My family is from the pan handle, Slapout, OK

  • Thank you very much. This video is very helpfull.
