I like this tutorial. Clear. The overall shape looks so simple; yet, getting there was a fairly complex process. I think, this plane files well because the paper has been doubled over to make it a lot more strong. Brilliant! Well done! ;-)

a much easier way to do this and its also the best type of paper plane i've seen fly. with a4 paper. it works better with thicker paper.

1. fold paper lengthways then unfold.

2. fold the corners in so that they touch the crease down the middle making a triangle at the top.

3. fold the top triangle part down and make sure the paper has about 2 cm of straight paper on the side.

4. fold in to triangle shape again and fold small triangle up.

5. fold the whole plane in half and make wings

I am a pretty advanced paper airplane maker and I usually design my own planes; I was able to discover a way to use a 11 by 8 inch ( any normal copy paper) to make a plane with 8 wings and stabalizers.

It might be how you throw it. I had the same problems. You need to throw it like how you would throw a football. Straight and not too much force for this paper plane. Then it'll fly really smoothly if you truly followed the directions carefully...
