  • go to newegg and build your own. cheaper and better then anything you can buy. Very easy, easier than you think. I went to home depot and bought some filters and velcroed them to my box as a prefilter.

  • Looked like a pube was stuck in your USB. HAHAHA

  • As a PC tech, the only thing I'd suggest you do with that CPU fan is hold it still with your finger or something so that you don't mess up the bearings and REALLY get into that heatsink with the compressed air. Your CPU temps will drop by several degrees easily that way.

I generally just take the PC out into the back yard patio if weather permits when I blow them out. If you want to simplify this though, get a better case with filters, especially if you smoke in front of it.

  • lol thats what she said

  • Great Video Pete! I will be cleaning mine out this weekend!!

  • Damn that was a powerful blower I got to get one of those.

  • i don't know what you do with your pc... but that much after 6months?

The most important thing you didn't do is what you said wasn't important... the cpu passive cooling and its fan... you can just stop the fan from spinning and then blow on it it with the compressor.

  • 3 Fans... Haha! :P I have 8 on my gaming rig! :P And 3 intake dust filters... Keep up the great work Pete!

  • Dude, what's happend to snapcap!!

  • Pete, either use filters on your fans or go with an Antec Skeleton case. It's tons easier to clean, cools great, and looks insane.

  • a trick ive heard of but never put into use to keep the dust down, put a filter in front of those vents on the side, either a fine mesh, or if your lazy u can just put a dryer sheet on, it will help filter out dust. Usually fans push out hot air and the vents provide cool air, so they get clogged easily because the dust hits that first

  • @prodigypenn

Pantyhose work well as a filter, plus you can just toss them in the washer when they get dirty.

  • @etrnldrk unfortunately i dont own any pantyhoise, nor do i plsn on picking some up anytime soon, or ever rlly

  • @prodigypenn

You have a wife or a girlfriend? She has at least 1 pair that she won't miss. That's what I did, and she didn't even notice. Plus, it works great and if you have to buy some, who cares, they're cheap.

  • buy Apple....

  • @jg31386

Fuck Apple. Spend the same amount of money and get a decent desktop, laptop, and tablet.

  • @jg31386 nope

  • first time I cleaned my laptop there was an inch of lint covering the vent.

  • @Gleyen sorry i didn't realize you where talking about then brand new one that came out with tegra 3 and it naitively runs android 2.3 i believe. You do realize a cpu isn't a computer right? and and that decently new quad-core computer will obliterate a Asus Eee Pad in video rendering right? i would like to see your Asus Eee Pad try to play skyrim on any settings besides low and still hold a playable fps and yes i am with the times i just know what im talking about when it comes to computer.

  • @Gleyen Because rendering a video is a very CPU intensive process a ten minute video can take a long time depending on what cpu you have for instance a dual-core cpu will take almost twice as long as a quad core cpu pending on what cpu and amd or intel and the eee pad is a tegra 2 tablet i believe and it runs android 2.something

    rant over

  • I was assuming this would be a video of a computer being shot up but then I remembered that your ranges probably wouldn't allow such targets

  • Hey Pete, try keeping the case elevated off the ground (like on a desk or stand) that will help keep a lot of the dust out

  • ★★★★★

Just throw the computer off the roof! LOL. :-)

  • Hahaha! i love that, i love that approach, fuck paying people 80 bucks for that shit.. XD

  • make sure there's no water in the air compressor, water+computer=not cool

  • get you a macbook! you hardly ever have any problems at all

  • I use ballistol to clean my PC

  • Not bitching, but I just wanted to add that just like gun safety there is pc safety. Wearing a filter mask or cleaning outside would greatly benefit your health. That static attracted dust is a nasty fine particle that is a health hazard. Smaller the particle, the deeper is goes. Just wanted to throw in my two won. Also included, vacuum cleaner bags, car air filters... obviously outside. Love the video!

  • hey Pete i noticed you have 2 empty RAM slots.Upgrading your RAM memory is one of the most cheap ways to make your computer faster it really makes a difference on video editing

  • good job pete i do that with can air & rubbing alchahol

  • You have 2 empty Ram slots

  • Mac???? I don't own a desktop anymore, haven't in 6yrs. I've always been a Mac user since I was a tot (1984) and that's because of my father who use to do work for Apple. Right now I'm using a 15" MacBook Pro and I still have a 13" MacBook Pro which isn't that old at all but I can say I've never had any "real" issue with a Mac since 1997-today, seriously.

  • lol its funny last week i did this to my computer and it was fucking dessert storm up in that mother humper

  • Comment removed

  • ha ha we got the same ringer tone htc evo.

  • Vista blows dogs for quarters!

  • That's where SnapCap really wanted to live...with his buddy Win7.

  • I do the same thing to mine...I dont want anything getting in the way of me and my porn...

    great vid Bro-

  • Wow, I've never once done this. My XP is about 8 years old or so. I better wear a mask when I take care of mine.

  • hey Pete love the video,i can relate to this one big time cause that is the business my father and i are in.we have the internet jukeboxes, pool tables, stuffed animal claw machines and all that stuff.how long did you work in that field and who did you work for if you dont mind me asking, cause we know some vendors from around your area.again i love your videos, God bless america, and the second ammendment

  • Just a note to anyone that's not too computer savvy here: When you're dusting the insides out, make sure not to touch the motherboard (that big flat piece of hardware that everything else gets attached too), or at least make sure you're grounded. With all that dust flying around, it's easy build up a static charge and fry your computer if you touch it.

  • I sneezed 6 times watching this video :)

  • great vid. also, dust hold moister that causes os freezes or MB to die

  • Damn, if your pc looks that bad I can't imagine how bad your fucking lungs look. You got a lot of shit flying around your house. Better get an air purifier.

  • $1000 will get you an awesome computer

  • that fan is called a heatsink and it cools the cpu

  • @ilovemycomputer2 The heat sink is what is under the fan.

  • That's priceless..suck and blow....great job, maintenance does make a difference...

what happened to your finger?? I see bandaid..... :)))

  • Ring Ring!?!?! WTF theARMONYchannel classik :P

  • Tartar?? You eating Long John's on your PC? lol I figured you were going spray it down with Ballistol!

  • @Gleyen hand-helds will never replace my PC!

  • umm... one thing... dont use vacuums... they produce static electricity... which fucks computer components :)

  • hey pete you suck and blow almost as good as the FLYERS do. lol

  • Also, make sure you have a good power supply! The number 1 reason computers fail is because of a shoddy power supply (At least in my experience). Read reviews before you buy. But I will say Antec also makes a pretty darn nice Power Supply (I sound like I frickin' work for em!).

  • In case any of you guys are thinking of building your own PC, make sure your case is well made and has a lot of places for fans. I personally use an Antec 300 case. It has room for 6 fans, 2 in front, 1 on the side, 1 on top, and 2 in the back (Including the power supply). It also has a mesh cover in the front to prevent dust from getting in (The side fan does not). All that airflow means your computer will not only be FASTER, but it will likely last much longer as well.

  • Great video Pete.

I own a restaurant/bar and do that to all of the computers on premise.

That can also be done to the coils on all refrigeration equipment. I do the same thing to my freezers, refrigerators and ice machines. There is always dust build up and after they are done they run much more efficiently.

  • @2xEKIA THANKS

  • NewEgg rocks as well!!!

  • It looks like u have 2 blown caps on the motherboard, unless that is just marker on them. Motherboard is bad.

  • I've been vacuuming my PC's for years, it doesnt do anything to it. just be careful not to knock into any of the components! I agree with TheAk47Enthusiast as well. Apple rocks! Before the rest of you get all pissy with my vacuum comment, I'm a certified Network Engineer and have been doing it for about 14 years now! Pete, the idea of keeping the vacuum right outside the door while pushing the dust with the air is genius and couldnt be safer for the PC. Keep doing it the same way...

  • @KillerCams101 THANK YOU!!

  • When u buy a new computer order it online you can get one for 500$ that will kick the shit out of anything you can buy at best buy

  • @GlockN1911 Or you can build your own computer that will kick the shit out of that one ;D but I agree best buy is horrible, If I'm gonna buy something for my computer I prefer Newegg

  • @erichillermanngamer Sure you can build one. But it would probably cost more to build one of the same specs than to buy one made...

  • @counkev Not hardly. You be surprised how easy it is if you can fallow directions. You will get more for you money for sure.

  • I use to tear down 'n clean sonar systems that were on diesel subs. I'm surprised the seamen survived. Visa can be upgraded 7, it just takes a nerd to do it.

  • Hey Pete, the gentlemen that commented about using the vaccuum is dead on, but I would like to add if you where use the canned air, make sure you take your system outside or use a face mask due to the dust and such that would get blown into the air can be dangerous to breath in, might make you sick etc., also never use an air compressor to blow out your pc unless you have an air dryer and moisture removing system, take care and Thanks for the vids:)

  • @doomedtoindoorranges OK THANKS

  • pete you should check out the xds .45 compact

  • vista =bad

  • Tar not tartar. Computers are not teeth.

  • @saigaish WHAT EVER YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, LOL

  • You should give Apple a try, Pete. The video editing software it comes equipped with is top notch.

  • yea vacuuming it is not a good idea. I did that with my dell PC like 5 years ago and my computer started smoking up afterwards....

  • Excellent Bro....

  • Be careful of condensation from the air-compressor, you could end up spraying your computer with water. Keeping the computer clean is important, they do need that air flow.

  • Also the older you are the more dust you give off, so you and bill should clean your PCs like once a week actually. LOL

  • you should try custom building, its cheap and easy

  • Pete's Gun, Computer & Twinky Sales LLC.

  • just built my own pc last night, it was pretty easy. Only spent $500 on it and its awesome

  • @DaProductionsco and thats alot of dust for only 6 months, u might wonna consider getting a stronger fan. there pretty cheep and easy as hell to install. ill PM you a link ( i used to have the same PC)

  • Haha so smoking is not only bad for you... its also bad for your computer...

  • I never maintained my PC for 8 years and I download porn at optimum speeds bro. Waste of vacuum suction which could be better used on my pee pee hole.

  • @keltec556 LOL

  • PC's worst enemy is heat. The next worst enemy is static electricity. Removing the dust helps. Running the vacuum was a good idea because you kept the dust down instead of spreading it back into the room. I am not sure if that was your real plan but it's worth pointing out to your viewers. Good tip Pete.

  • @wayneuber THANK YOU

  • @wayneuber Yeah gotta make sure your grounded or you can short it....Ask me how I know smh

  • I cant do any of that stuff to my pc i have a HP touchsmart 610 its one of them touchscreen jobs its faster than any pc ive had and i love the windows 7 but us here in the south call it winders7.

  • You should hold your fans still while blowing them off. They are not made to go that fast and you can damage them quickly.

  • @FangBlah YEAH I WAS THINKING THAT

  • i gotta do this to mo my PC...i have the same HP as you.

  • At first glance of your video thumbnail, I thought you pointed a shotgun into the PC... <_<

  • Peter you have to stop letting your dogs using the computer. That might help with the problem.

  • you would be better at passing for a thailand hooker than a geek squad fixer upper..lol...

  • @lskw1 and you would be my number 1 customer!

  • build you a computer its not hard everything is labeled .......if you can do it your dumber then a monkey

  • you dont know much about pcs :(

its better to let the fans blow the hot air out(like the AC/DC Fan, but anyway this piece of Hardware needs nearly no maintance if you change the airflow-direction

  • Does sucking and blowing your computer make it download porn faster?

  • @556DOS45 yes!! lol

  • when i did my computer i wasnt aware of static electricity being a problem. i umplugged all the wires and got them out of my way. Took the fans apart and cleaned them. then took an air compressor to it. I EVEN WIPED THE SHIT DOWN WITH A DAMP RAG. i am luky everything works ok

  • Great vid, good air flow is essential for temperature stability on hardware components. Remember to make sure no dust bunnies are hiding inside any cooling ribs when you are done.. those can obstruct air flow and cause overheating.

  • lmao at using a 100 psi

  • @TheMrVert LOL iv been using 120psi to clean my comp for years. Dust off aint got nothing on my compressor hahha.

  • Pete - Great video. I wanted to make you aware that some of what you showed is dangerous for your computer. You never want to use a vacuum for the inside of your computer because it creates static electricity that can damage the motherboard and other electronic components. If you need to use one make sure you use a battery powered vacuum designed for cleaning computers. Also, before taking your computer cover off; press and hold the power button to release any stored electricity. love the vids!

  • @edgedweapon88 thanks bro i didn't know that

  • @edgedweapon88 Compressed air is the way to go!

  • @MuscIeBound Compressed air is the best option. You want to use the method that Pete used in the video and not the cans of compressed air. The compressed air cans that you can buy will often blow out water because of how cold the air becomes. Introducing water to electrical components is never a good thing!!

  • i need to clean my pc also

  • After my last video, do you think I can handle it?lol. :)

  • @MyHollowpoint Sure .... you just have to take the cover off , nothing to put back together ... no spare parts when your done . lol :)))

  • i felt like i was getting dust in my eyes

  • now that's something that needs to be done, good video

  • great vid, going to do my this weekend

  • First commet

  • @MrTacticalArmory First to correct you. you spelled "comment" wrong lmao
