  • like like likee :P

  • @GuyRapCrazy You are stupid!

  • @GuyRapCrazy GO FUCK YOURSELF.

    TWICE.

  • @GuyRapCrazy You think it's stupid because you don't know what this song was about. When this song was written the Irish Republican Army was very active and waged a brutal bloody war for independence that left thousands of civilians on both sides dead for no good reason. Many Irish and British citizens remember the horror of those days and remember this song and it's significance. It is far, FAR from stupid.

  • @stnwllstv well technically Irish and British are the same. Ireland is part of great Brittan lol

  • @JDrockerDUDE If you want to oversimplify it,yes. My guess is you don't know a whole lot about the history of the English/Irish "union".If you did you'd have no problem drawing a distinction between citizens of England and citizens of Ireland. At any rate, the song is very important to the people on both sides which is why the GuyRap's comment earned him such hostile replies.

  • @stnwllstv

this is not a stupid song, far from it, but you cannot say for someone's freedom that is no good reason for fighting. Of course, I'm not saying that violence is an answer, but violence of oppressor brought out another violence. Song is about meaningless of war, not cheering for either side. Sunday bloody, sunday.

  • @ktarnik My point was that there are so many innocent dead and neither side has anything much to show for it except widows, children w/o parents and parents w/o children. Regardless of the intent, this is the result and no other could have been expected. I also said, "civilians on both sides". As for what the song is about, I'd say you're being too broad. The song address this conflict specifically and sounds more like a plea to stop the senseless murders than a condemnation of war.

  • @GuyRapCrazy wow your stupid, she has an accent and and she's obviously saying zombie -wow idiots these days-

  • @mariah10stearman I'm pretty sure he was talking about a crappy remake of this song. In it the guy says Mohimbo.... whatever that means. Moroccan cuisine maybe? I don't think I'd call him stupid, just very uninformed and quick to talk out of his ass.

  • @GuyRapCrazy find a hole, throw yourself in it, wait for someone to burry you.

  • @Vegsin you misspelled "Sorry, your right."

  • @GuyRapCrazy That's what you get when you listen to tasteless, rid of any significant meaning "music". Please do go back to your simplistic world and stay off this kinda songs and genre of music.

  • shilo2010-Your opinion is only that. Just because you say something means nothing as to the veracity of said. Now my statement can be proven over and over but then people like you with nothing but ignorance and an overblown ego to go on just make me laugh. Now go whine to somebody that may want to listen to your whiny nonsense. America is indeed the best/most righteous country you will ever see so be thankful and try to read what people say and discern it before you make ignorant replies.

  • superbe chanson et magnifique interprétation ... bravo aussi pour la vidéo

  • i love this song even though its so oldsckool

  • one of the best songs in this world much much respect

  • empbac America is the most generous and righteous country ever was. Your claim about lies is stupid and incorrect. But then fools like you who are full of hate never grow up or smarten up. Now go whine to your mommy wimp and leave this to the adults. Humans are warriors. Always have been always vwill be or until Jesus returns if the Bible is truly the word of God. I for one believe and hope it is as man has shown he cannot live in peace and a loving God is our only hope.

  • @truthisgreat

As an Aussie married to an American and who has lived in the States for many years I love many things about both the US and the US people but to suggest America is the most riteous country ever is to be uninformed and burry your'e head in the sand. America has done many wonderful things for the world and given a choice, I believe America is the best candidate to be the worlds super power but every country has its shame. Try not to be naive.

  • 100000000000000000 likes :)

  • I was in a guitar band in the 90's, therefore I covered this. Everyone did.

  • THE GREATEST SONG EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     -prOf'matya- phillipines

  • i love this song^^

  • i love this song

  • ซอมบี้ จริงๆ

  • something i learned frim rambo is that soldiers do what they are ordered to but the people dont know what they have lived seen their friends die, and they call them killers when all the people causes wars

  • i love this woman's voice! and, she looks so awesome with short hair <3 <3 and the message of the song is so deep. the one thing i hate in this world is war...

  • All wars are because of the offshore bankers. Hell, it used to be printed in American textbooks until the middle of the 20th century, stating that wars were all the work of conspirators.IBM was the first American company to fund Hitler with technology necessary to enslave his people. Not only are the soldiers walking dead men but their own country's companies are in on it. Just like in this video when Dolores looks up at the Cross the only hope for any nation including ours is found in the Cross

  • Hitler was a badass motherfucker!

  • @Budguy68 Screw you!

  • very well

  • @kirbzflw. We'll have to not be like that then won't we ?

  • great song

  • esta cancio0n cada vez q la escucho m gusta mas

  • Эта песня перевернула во мне восприятие МИРА. Я плохо владею английским, но эмоции перевода не требуют. Я ЗА МИР.

  • STUPID irish gypsie scum come and try to bomb England again and we will carpet bomb you the same way we did to the muzzies be warned you worthless parasites

  • @Jimmyretired lol poop on you

  • @Jimmyretired

Dunce, the IRA almost bankrupted England.

  • ติเสี่ยว

  • que recuerdos....

  • @vondosh 123 the IRA killed many innocent English. I'm not full on against the IRA, but no army can be doing the right thing. When no country needs an army, thats a time we need to support

  • When no country needs an army, thats when one power hungry man raises his own army and takes the countries that felt they didnt need an army. Thats just how humans are. when we have power, we take whatever we please.

  • it's not dublin at all. It's northern Belfast. If Them (meaning the prodistans) who are backed by the british who for years have been killing the Irish Catholics. Long live Sinn Finn and the IRA. Remember One mans terrorist, is another mans freedom fighter. This song is great.

  • @vondosh123 UP DA RA!!! :)

  • Zahnweh!

  • When will we learn.. That the world is for everyone.. and that it aint about power.. but about respect and love for each and everyone. PEACE!

  • *-*

  • Are there any irish people who can help me ??

I am italian and are having problems getting to understand

irish culture. I find that the people talk in "short speak" conversation

all the time. I dont understand why they talk in short but not in long or

deep conversations that we italians are used to ?? Sometimes they

come across as nervous or like they have been "done wrong" ??

Can a genuine irish person please help clarify why irish people are

    like this?

  • @sebbbo77

Hi to clear it up for you are you talking of inner-city dublin people? there are a small cross section that choose not to be educated or work or better themselves, everyone else is there to serve them , everything that is put them is taken as a slight or attack. they are prone to criminal and anti-social behaviour. I believe there will be no place for them in a generation or so.

    A"real" Irish person

  • oh this song touches me so much. its so sad that human is humankinds worst enemy. We can change though! anyway, i love this song so much!

  • yes we can change!

  • STFU!! U bitch!! HOW DARE U!!!

  • the only thing that seperates man from the beasts is guilt people without guilt are who we now call heroes of war and im not for or against the war in iraq i'm in different so don't go bashing me saying im a hippie or something well anyways guilt is the key to morality and right and wrong those with out guilt make killing simple and and easy cause they fear no consequences nothing is wrong with the world or actually right the world is just the world so accept it or change it and quit complaining

  • It's not that simple. Soldiers are brainwashed to become desensitized to their job. They're taught that what they're doing is good, and they believe it. Hence, you get people like the Nazis. It's the same thing in the US, people killing because they justify it as being right when it's actually only based on lies. Soldiers are victims too, in a way. It's the heads of state that are truly to blame for all the war horror in the world.

  • @empbac your so right

  • @empbac ever hear of the chain of command? when youre in work youre boss tells you what to do, you dont say hey hold on a minute, you fucking do it or your ass is fired huh????

  • @thenutsisgood

Sure. The Nazis also fell back on their chain of command excuse, but guess what. They're still war criminals, even if they were just following orders. It's that kind of mentality that leads to atrocities. 'I'm not responsible, I was just taking orders.' When the people ordering the killing don't actually have to do any of the killing themselves, a lot of killing can happen.

  • @empbac Never been in the army eh? You should join it. Extreme discipline is instilled in the men, along with devotion to your commanding officers. Soldiers do what they are told, because that is how they are trained to behave and think. Quit thinking you know anything about something you were never involved in.

  • @thenutsisgood

I have been in the Army, actually. Go to Wikipedia and look up "List of Fallacies." The very first one is "Appeal to Authority." Devotion to your commanding officers is not a virtue. Reason and evidence, which are objective, should always precede emotion and devotion, which are biased. I know that soldiers are trained to act on command, which is why an army in the wrong hands is such a terrible thing. Even if I weren't in the Army, why would it matter? Deal with the arguments.

  • @empbac They are trained to do what they are told. They become, essentially, tools. They do not question orders, if they do they are disciplined, court marshaled in some cases and annexed from their own platoon. It is very rare for a solider to question his orders, and not accede with his 'band of brothers'. Soldiers do what they are told, it's a simple as that. And in the case of the Nazi's the Schutzstaffel didn't mass kill millions by shooting them, it was a systematic genocide by gas.

  • @thenutsisgood

Are you saying that Nazis didn't run those camps? That they didn't shoot many people as well? Are you attempting to dismiss their war crimes?

Everything else you said I agree with, though you seem to be proud of it for some reason. Why would one aspire to be a mindless tool?

  • @empbac I never once even alluded that Nazi's may not have run those camps. It was the Nazi Party releasing the orders, and the Schutzstaffel that carried them out . Soldiers do what they are told to, and in this case non-compliance meant death, it's the same with a lot of situations throughout history. Why would I not be proud of being in the army? It took discipline, determination and devotion to join and I don't like people being derogatory towards soldiers.

  • @thenutsisgood

Following orders is fine up to a point. But when fear of your leaders or peers makes you kill innocent people, an appeal to authority can't save you. Soldiers should be taught to think for themselves as well as take orders, and to take responsibility for all their actions, whether commanded from above or not. It's not one or the other, you know. Armies in general tend to abuse their power and occasionally wreak havoc. Not even US troops are immune to it.

  • @empbac Do you not understand that those soldiers were not trained in that way? And neither are any other soldiers? They are trained to kill and follow orders. Simple. They do as they are told, or they can be discharged, or in many cases in the past, be eliminated. Get real.

  • @thenutsisgood

Yes, I do, and that's what I'm objecting to. In other words, it seems you agree with my original comment. My only point is that such training can easily lead to slaughtering and torturing people who don't necessarily deserve it.

  • @empbac Soldiers aren't civilians, they are trained to be killers, which is in the human nature and psyche anyway. With the culture of guerrilla warfare and suicide bombings at the minute, which also happened in Vietnam and in street fighting during World War 2, it's almost impossible to discern civilians from armed soldiers dressed in civilian garb. There are going to be casualties in life.

  • @thenutsisgood

Of course. In nature, the strong survive and the weak die. The question really is, from an ethical point of view, Is that okay? 'Shit happens' is realistic, but if not taken seriously, people begin to not care that shit is happening at all, even when much of it can be reduced. Your attitude seems to be, "Shit happens and I don't care." Some people want to reduce the amount of shit that happens. It's when you don't care that you become a true tool.

  • @empbac You want to change things by coming onto youtube on a Cranberries video and giving some bullshit rhetoric speech that you know nothing about. How many people like you does it take to change a light bulb? None, you can't change anything.

  • @thenutsisgood

You can't change crazy. I never claimed you could. And I'm really not an idealist. I just happen to have some values, like, genocide is bad. I don't expect anything to happen no matter how many people protest and or sign petitions. The world is ruled by money and politics. That's the one constant. Though, I am glad I'm not a part of it anymore -- a tool, as it were.

If a Cranberries video on YouTube is so beneath you, why are you bothering to respond to me?

  • @empbac I never claimed it was beneath me, I love the Cranberries. As for responding to you, I love debating with people who haven't a clue about how the world works. If you hate it so much you should move to the woods in Montona; maybe emulate Theodore Kacsynski.

  • @thenutsisgood

I love the Cranberries too. Why criticize me for commenting on a Cranberries video? It was relevant to the theme of the song.

It's spelled Kaczynski, and what the hell is Montona? Claiming I don't know how the world works... okay, buddy, whatever you say. ;)

  • @empbac I criticized you because you were talking shit about something you haven't a clue about, it's like you live in some fantasy world. Every time you take a shirt out of your closet do you reach all the way to the back, hopeful of entering a utopia. You're really getting semantic about this, talking about my spelling on two words; one of which you looked up yourself.

  • @thenutsisgood

"You want to change things by coming onto youtube on a Cranberries video and giving some bullshit rhetoric speech that you know nothing about."

    -You

Obviously, I do know something about it (despite your insistence that I'm wrong), and this being on a Cranberries video is irrelevant, as you just admitted, so why bring it up? Don't blame me for your fuck-ups. I'm just pointing them out.

For the record, I don't believe in any utopian society. You said that, not me.

  • @empbac First of it was the context that I said it in, if you could understand how to discern speech properly you would have gotten it. You seem to want to change the world, or make a difference, so why the fuck would you talk about it on YouTube instead of going doing something with your life and your ideals. With the way you talk and the world you're espousing to live in, it sounds like you do want to live in a utopian society. If you hate this world so much, do as I said, or join a commune.

  • @thenutsisgood

Blah, blah, blah. I'm not an idealist. I'm a realist. As a realist, I treat philosophical issues, like logic and ethics, seriously. When have I claimed I wanted to change the world? You can't deal with my arguments so now you're just resorting to ad hominem attacks. That tactic is cheap and irrelevant.

  • @empbac I have responded to your 'arguement' in a perfectly balanced form. How am I attacking you as a person? All I have wanted to say is that your raving about soldiers is nonsensical. They do what they are told, they always have and they always will. The armed forces ethos and methods will not change, only the weaponry will. Please do not respond to this.

  • @empbac i am sorry but that is a load of bullshit

  • @LazyTherian

    In what way?

  • Dammit I cant stand it!!!What the hell is wrong with this world!? (Sorry, couldnt keep that in)

  • I really find it weird how people in this world can go on killing and hurting people.I dont get what they are trying to achive, all the fighting and stuff...what has happened to our world...

  • that's how the world works.

we have to go on war to make money from guns and other shit.

like this song so much too - I remember when I heard this for the first time - I had this song all day long in my head. lyrics are the best as usual

  • it's been a part of our humankind and it will always be...thats why i wouldnt ask for whats happened to our world, i'd 'a asked for whats happened to those people who are able to kill others, no matter of theyre soldiers or not...

  • It must be hard for them too eh? Having to kill people... I doubt they like it.( Unless they are major as.h.les,still i doubt it )

  • I love this song, its sounds so sad.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!! <3
