If I have a clear bra on my car, what recommendations to you have for avoiding the bra with the polisher? I obviously want to get as close to it as possible without catching the edge of the bra.
That's a tuff one... just do the best you can. Clear bras are great for protecting the front of your car but there's no easy way to avoid getting the polish and wax residue along the edge of the bra that's fast and easy. You could try running a strip of painters tape over it and just don't worry about the 1/8" of paint next to it that won't get polished. No on is going to get down that close and inspect the paint. -Mike
Hello Mike, I've watch this all the way through and I'm confident in this item and wolfgangs.
But one questions I'm a perfectionist I've waxed my car numerous times. And I've been told my hood looks like glass but the swirls always disappoint me.. That lead me to my question. Do I have to use wax remover because I have used alot of waxing processes before Wolfgang + Porter? Or just jump right into using The system you just showed in this video? What do you suggest?
Good question and one that comes up all the time. Wash and dry the car. Clay if needed. Next start with the Wolfgang Swirl Remover. Since it will remove swirls out of your car's paint at the same time it's going to remove any wax you've applied. -Mike
If the compounds you have are not using then switch to different products. The Flex works great, that's a known fact. Lake Country pads work great and that's a time-proven fact. The other three variables are, paint, compounds and you're technique. Since most paints polish just fine that leaves your choice of compound and your technique. The Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and Finishing Glaze work flawlessly so I would suggest giving them a try next. -Mike
The Porter Cable has been around the longest and has a time-proven success rate. The Flex 3401 is a random orbit polisher but a lot different in it's drive gears than a Porter Cable DA Polisher and too is a top notch machine. Just decide which "type" of action you want and then get a polisher. I have articles on how the different types work on AutogeekOnline . net -Mike Phillips

The XP model is better able to maintain pad rotation under pressure, this means you can remove swirls and scratches faster and more efficiently. I have an article on this in my article list on AutogeekOnline . net
Mike, all these video's say how to buff a car without holograms but know no one really shows how. i've tried ur step by step method and still end up with holograms. please help.
@autogeek Sorry for the delay, I forgot I posted this. I used M105 compound w/ blue pad and M205 polish with a 'tangerine' pad on my 04 silver gray bmw.
A popular combination of pads are Lake Country Orange foam cutting pads, white foam polishing pads and black foam finishing pads. You can find all of these at Autogeek . net or call us at 1-800-869-3011
@Hinloopen There are, as far as I know there's swirls (holograms). Then there's spider webbing which is like a circular pattern that develops several ways. You could call it all swirls. Just as long as you know how to work them back out!

Yes. If the products work themselves then the techniques will work too...
