a loverly watch, bet you did not know the batteries are no longer available, and please dont try to fit the 1.5v battery it will burn the circuit out
as i found out to my cost

It'll work, but you have to fit a resistor in the battery holder; there are kits available for doing so.

This is different from a spring drive,but tuning forks are still pretty awesome.

The smooth movement of the second hand (300 times a second) is what seiko are doing with their spring drive watches costing thosands. This is a watch from 1974
