  • haaaaaaaa!!!! the ending!

  • GET RID OF IT!

  • 9:01, he got one uncensored fuck through with no beep. :P

  • FUCK YOU WE WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL US! MUTHERFUCKERS! UGH!

  • WATCH MY ACOUSTIC COVER: /watch?v=denzx7X0Pfw

  • I have a question, if they bleep it out anyway whats the fucking problem with them?

  • "we asked them not to do it but they did it anyway, so buy joes records" that sentence explains so much of whats wrong with the world today

  • @mclovin411 Fucking square bastards. Made me grin so much when they did it hahaha

  • Hey BBC! zack wants to tell you something at 8:48

he holds his anger until the best part of the song \m/

  • Stupid woman, ouhh.. buy Joes records ..

  • i wouldve been disspointed if they didnt use the f word

    happy they did

  • the word makes sense when you say: "Fuck you! I won´t do what ya tell me!!"

    ...

  • hahahahaha classic they were so asking for that!

  • Ok, Fuck You Sheila.

It's because of those people that there is War in Iraq, and that 6 000 000 jews were killed in the 40's.

  • @ninjacobra Lmao "Ok, Fuck You Sheila."

  • @Reddog785 i think she said bye in stead of buy. like you can forget Joe record

  • If you listen to the woman stopping the song at the end and listen to "rid of it" by Rout 2 mins 27 seconds in then you can hear that theyve put it int hrere song. It shows as well how ratm and enter shikari are working wtowards the same thing.

It kindaaa shows how Rou Reynolds is suportin Ratmm as well :)

  • lol is it just me, or is there no point in telling someone not to yell "fuck you i wont do what you tell me". kinda defeats the point of saying it

  • Damn! Was just about to say the exact same thing :P

  • @Misclaneous Well yeah, it shows that RATM are willing to do what people tell them to.

  • @Misclaneous i was just thinking the same!

  • :-*

  • what a way to kill a song!

  • they sound alot better on cd cause of the editing, but still they are awesome

  • great raw performance of a kickass song, but those fuckin BBC pigs had to fuck it up at the end... and who the fuck do they think they are trying to censor RATM?!? "fuck you i wont do what you tell me!" was an answer to that pathetic hole's attempt to get them to not do it.

  • i dont know what the big deal with the word fuck is anyway,we hear it all the time

  • @25005735 I agree with you but for this performance I'm glad that the word "fuck" is so offensive because it gave Rage Against the Machine a easy and effective chance to... well... Rage Against the Machine haha

  • @25005735 thats why a uncencored vid is there too..

  • I love this.

  • i find it funny they told them not to say the line

Fuck no i won't do what you tell me

and got mad when they did like what the hell were you expecting

  • "Simon is an interesting character, who seems to have profited greatly of humiliating people on live television "

  • sheila you BITCH

  • guess they got to into the song @ the end...but can you really blam them XD

  • aha oh yeah rage against the machine that glam rock band who don't rap :s

  • @Sunny6t9

    Manufactured more than x-factor?

You dont know shit mate. This song is 15 years old and has nothing to do with the x-factor and was at least written and played by a band who made it their own song and can play their own instruments.

If its not your cup of tea, fine then thats not a problem. But to say crap like having a campaign to get a protest song into the charts does not make it manufactured.

  • An organised protest does not make the song manufactured, but rather the campaign itself manufactured so looks like your mistaken.

For a band to be manufactured they would have to have someone write songs for them, have someone play all the instrumentations for them, told how to dress, told what to say, when to say it and in doing so is normally making someone else very rich.

If you think that x-factor represents credible music then you need to open you mind a bit more.

  • @Sunny6t9

Strange how you feel the need to be insulting about this - where did I insult you?

Myself and summ0004 seem to be making the same point: the song itself is not manufactured in the sense that Joe's record was.

I will agree with you that the campaign behind it was deliberately organised (or manufactured, if you prefer) but as I've already said, it required organisation and leadership to succeed. Without it, this statement against the X Factor hegemony would have sunk without trace.

  • @Sunny6t9

    Activism requires organisation and unity.

And more manufactured than X Factor? You know RATM wrote this, right? And that Joe didn't write his song? Okay, just checking.

  • Sheila succks mcelderlys cock.

  • Bleeping out the F word was the icing on the cake.

I hope you all had a merry Christmas.

  • SHIT OFF.

    :DDD

  • we should start a campaign for like metallica or something it'd be awesome for enter sandman number 1 or some other awesome tracks ride the lightning, king noothing, cyanide exetra

  • yeah im pretty sure he says "oh shit off" haha

  • Well they can't play the whole thing on the radio cus of the F*** part cus like little kids

  • lol, what's with the beeps! lol BBC tossers and that woman can shove Joes record where the sun doesn't shine! lol

  • RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!!!

  • oh also is it my wacky hearing or does the male broadcaster tell the woman to "shit off" sneakily after she says "buy joes records" genius!

  • hahaha that was actually amazing you can see how zach is doing the fuck you i wont do what you tell me part not as an insult to the radio station but instead he knew it would take away from the meaning of the song so it was so fitting, good old rage, when will they learn? :P

  • pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. Longest word in the dictionary :) Well the most major one

  • that looks like two words to me...

  • lol they did it

  • finally im glad were finally not accepting the mainstream bullshit being fed to us as tom said.... FUCK YOU I WONT BUY WHAT YOU SELL ME- RAGE AGAINST THE MAINSTREAM

  • no doubt !! fuck mainstream music!!

  • i hate that woman at the end!!!!!!

  • What did the hosts expect? The lyric is, ironically "FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME"

  • who the fuck was that little cow at the end? I assume Nicky Campbells show partner so probably with a brain as small as his.

  • yeee the ending was dope

  • fuck you ,you did wot they told you lol

  • hahaha joe!!!!!!!!

  • lol i like the way they censored the swear words i cracked up laughing

  • i dont know why people are against simon cowell on this. i mean it doesnt matter to him what happens because 1. hes absolutely loaded and 2. joe wasnt even in his group.

i felt alexandra and leona lewis probably deserve number 1 but Joe should just be a theatre singer... people who vote xfactor are lower middle class people who obviously dont have taste in music, or the intelligence

  • It's not soley against Simon Cowell as a person, but hes the guy behind the spoon feeding of maufactured pop music, and the public sits there with its mouth wide open every christmas. And it doesnt matter that Joe wasn't in his group, thats just for competitions sake, the winner becomes Simons bitch in the end.

  • I love the way they had to cut it off in a panic. I mean, did the BBC really not see that one coming?

  • Im glad they swore at the end. Stupid fucking X Factor is ruining the standard of talent.

  • Hey chloso123, if you dont like rage you dont like or know music, simple as. These guys are standing up for your rights and care about the world but you would rather listen to corporate thieves but could not give a rats about you. as tom says true music lovers follow rage. listen to music with soul, meaning, talent not manufactured brain dead ,sellout ripoffs. the peoples rebellion is on and you , cowell and the rest idiots are finally getting what long been coming. genius will always live.

  • I wonder what Cowell thinks about this lol.

As for the censoring at the end I think it was stupid that they cut the feed, stupid communist faggots.

  • rage are on sony bmg and simon cowell is too so cowell will still probably get money from it

  • No he won't

All the money's going to charity.

  • Misinformation. Rage are on Epic Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment. Cowell started Syco, also a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment. The profits made by Epic will in no way benefit Cowell.

  • Look at the people pro-Rage then look at the people pro-Joe. Which people seem more intellectual to you?

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • ratm are awesome anyone who says else, should jump off a bridge now

  • I woke up this morning basking in glory! RATM no.1

  • victory!!

  • and the end of that video is why Rage Against the Machine is the shit!!!!!

  • haha that ending in fuckin funny

  • This the make of the start of the musical revolution. Rage rule and at last the voiceless's voices are being heard. we are sick of the industry being filled with talent free, soul and meaning less bullshit. This time we won, see what happens when you stand up to corporations. The people have the power when we use it. fuck these corporate cunts.

  • WE FUCKING WON WOOOOOOOO

  • The reference to addressing economic inequality makes me suspect they aren't quite so anti-government as they make out.

  • @sreymind

Dude they are socialists!Yes they are anti-government beacause they are anti-capitalist.

OF COURSE their message is fighting economic inequality!

  • @drizztf88

You can't be anti-government and a socialist. Socialism aims to promote big government. I don't think they've thought things through.

'anti government because they are anti-capitalist' make no sense.

  • Hey, you removed your comment in reply to me for some reason. Why is that? I agree with what you said anyway as my email listed your response.. I dunno why youre replyin to me.

  • @Renzosuken

Ok sorry. I was just pointing out how RATM have it wrong, as do many others. I appreciate your input :-)

  • I don't even know what RATM have. There is major economic inequalities in countries like India for example and that is a product of capitalism but not because of capitalism. Do you see the difference? I'm all for capitalism but things have to be done carefully and with correct economic policies the divide can be shortened.

  • @Renzosuken

Yes, I generally agree. In places like India and China some people have become comfortably well off, and there are others who prosperity has not reached. No one gave a shit when they were ALL in poverty, now that some have worked their way out it's an issue of 'inequality', and capitalism is denounced.

  • Of course, before 1991 when India was practically a communist country poverty was far more rife. So how do you know that RATM are communist anyway? I'd say they're more anarchist..

  • @Renzosuken

I don't. I just pointed out that they were anti-government, and yet at the same time appeared to be calling on government to extend their powers by addressing economic inequality, which, lets face its, requires the redistribution of wealth. There's a contradiction there. Then someone said they were socialists, but I don't know.

  • There are anarchists who see capitalism as the enemy because they mistakenly believe that the chiefs of big business ARE the capitalists, but big business doesn't favour a free market; it favours government protecting its interests. Capitalists promote a free market i.e. minimal if any government intervention. They aren't the enemy of anarchists.

  • @sreymind

Please, please, please dont' fuck up the term anarchism= libertarian sosialism

Anarchism is against the state AND agaisnt capitalism

Don't try to persuade us that we are confused...

''every anarchist is a socialist'' Adolph Fischer

  • Fine. I'd like to learn. What replaces capitalism in an anarcho-socialist utopia? And is there any example of this system working well anywhere in the world, or in the past?

  • @sreymind

Nope, there is no example like that but we are fighting so that there will be some day.

Is there any example of ''anarcho''-capitalist utopia?

In parts of the world where free markets were left uncontrolled the results were disastrous( Argentina-Chille and elsewhere)

And the measures used to deal with the crisis by right wing governments were Keynsian.

  • Except, of course, if you promote conservative/decentralized socialism, as opposite of "soviet communism" which kinda sticks to the word (socialism) today :-)

In my mind anti-governmental anti-capitalism makes decent sense...

Well, anyways - I'm completely for the rage against X-Factor. Partly because RATM is such a fantastic band...

  • @Tiwaz1337

"In my mind anti-governmental anti-capitalism makes decent sense..."

I'm sorry but it makes no sense and demonstrates a (common)misunderstanding of the concept of capitalism. Socialism - however it's dressed up - requires a disproportionate amount of power in the hands of a few who will use that power to their own ends, always to the detriment of the public at large.

  • Economic inequality is said to be a product of capitalism. So them saying this backs up their anti government ness?

  • Comment removed

  • @Renzosuken

But capitalism about isn't big government. Those who seek to promote free-market capitalism are anti-government.

I think RATM machine are probably against large corporations who use their influence on government to serve their own ends. Supporters of capitalism are against this because it's an abuse of power by GOVERNMENT. A larger government with more powers, a.k.a socialism, would make this WORSE.

  • LOLL

'we asked them not to do it but they still did it'

and the line is ' FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME'

I think it was pretty obvious what was gonna happen :)

  • LMAO!!!

"fuck you i wont do what you tell me"

"We asked them not to do it but they did it anyway"

how appropriate xD, that brought a warm fuzzy glow into my heart

  • I've never enjoyed any of the songs the xfactor winners have performed, glad that one of my favorite bands has come out on top for once.

They didn't even try to get the number one and still they had a bigger incentive to win, instead of wanting to win for the sake of getting a number one..

They wanted to help out a charity and show that hundreds of thousands of people can choose a song they actually like haha.

Or yeah it could all just be a dig at Simon Cowell, who cares :)

  • Although i dnt think these guys will beat the mighty machine, i wish they would. Each year the X factor winner comes with some lame copy of a song and gets the xmas no1 spot, its just so predictable. the chain needs to be broken. i do watch the X factor, but think the winner should have to work for their success like many others do.

  • @tiptoesful They already won mate :)

  • YEHH no.1 !!

  • I hope this is just the start!

  • Whatever anyone says , we are all individuals with different tastes

I for one cannot listen to Rage for more than 2 minutes and I have a headache so I can't see how they get to Nr 1

if they were good they would have been no 1 without this marketing ploy of using facebook

Suzan Boyle is talented and would not have been where she is without the so called Machine

Joe is talented and like everyone he needs experience to get to the top

but cant deny he is good compared to Olly a showmanship

  • they got to number one not because they're good, altho, they are fucking good, it's not for everyone and is clearly not a christmas song. but the reason why they got the no.1 is because how many people are fed up with x-factor, they happen to have a song that sends the exact message we have in our heads, and is the reason why we chose it. none of those people are "talented", they're good singers, but that does not make them good musicians.

  • I'll think you'll find they have been No 1 in the album charts.... so I guess by your logic that makes em good then. DOH

  • Firstly, they have had number one albums and secondly Im not even rating him as a musician until he writes his own songs. Meaningful songs! Until then he's just a glorified karaoke singer

  • YEAH GO JOE ROGAN LOL

  • Its been a while since a great song that has been writen & perfomed by great musicans who do it cause there fucking good at it and they enjoy it and dont do it just for the money has been number one in the charts. You gotta love the rebel and it shows that the uk still has enough good old fashon rebels and its not full of homosexual faggots like joe x factor prick who is scared of braking a nail and has no musical talent or fight inside him to shout Fuck You Rage I Wont Do What You Tell Me!

  • RATM: Seriously bright guys.

Great song. Brings back great memories. Well done the rebels who bought it and beat Cowell et al.

  • the irony .

  • what an awsome way to end the decade, made it very memorable, rage rules!!!

  • Hear that bitch at the end telling us to buy joes single?

well in the words of Zack FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME

  • Ill be headbanging to this on Xmas day. Fuck the x factor, its a load of bullshit anyway.

  • COWEL IS A TOSSER

  • So many delusional morons here.

RATM, like many REAL Rock groups make their own songs.

    They are NOT ENGINEERED!

    RATM 4EVER!!!!

  • Joe is a great singer, many people on xfactor are; but he doesn't deserve an xmas number one simply for winning xfactor.

Maybe in the future when he released a few songs of his own, he'll deserve to win xmas number one - but until then, i'm glad the victory went to a band with some amazing, poignant song.

  • @sumay94 no because he had to win some crappy "talent" show to get a chance to get a record deal..

  • i want to listen to this. It'll make me happy and satisfied that we've helped to do this

  • you tell me the meaning behind the climb now and i might acknowledge your opinion

  • i'll stand by the fact that he is talented. XF is not crap cos it gives a chance to ppl like leona & alex.getting 19m viewers simply shows that.

Not getting no.1 is not the end of the world. the meaning behind the song shows the right attitude-sometimes he "has to lose" but he keeps "his head held high"

i realise people on this page totally disagree with what im saying but i. dont. care. @james6394 i acknowledge your opinion, i like the fact that this is for a good cause, so im not dissing rage.

  • yes but thats the problem. Its basically destroying real music because this "X Factor" is only like a certain style. Theres some amazing bands out there but they don't have the X Factor. The Beatles dont have the X Factor. It's just like the lazty way to the top and isnt fair on the real workers

  • I agree. Joe is good but i find it annoying that usually x factor win. Though this year I think the x factor deserved to win for once

  • i get ur point. XF is kind of generic with the ballads. im versatile and i like ballads so i dnt mind. but for ppl who have different tastes,it's bound to less appreciated. it's impossible to please everyone.but you cant deny that some x factor people have actually done really well, have talent, have worked hard cos if they dont they disappear like leon. true some (e.g jedward) cant possibly produce 'real music'. but the point of the xfactor is to give a chance to talented ppl who dont have one.

  • @ZizzyQ

Thats fair enough, not everyone is gonna like the same music.

At least you havent spouted some rubbish facts like some people.

  • yeah i hate it when people state it as fact

  • Bring back Mr blobby.

  • YA THEY WON, FUCK SHITFACTOR

  • lol, "We asked them not to swear!" ... "FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!"

  • SHIT

  • wooo NUMBER ONE! guns n roses sweet child o mine next year??

  • hypocrite

  • A kick in the teeth for Cowell's musical junk box!

    SAME AGAIN NEXT YEAR THEN!!

  • no...how hypocritical

  • real music no1

  • similar campain in america for next year? doens't even have to be duriung christmas, maybe during the week american idol singles are released.

  • It has nothing to do with Christmas but still ends up being the best Christmas tune in years, how ironic.

  • sex pistols next year (y) 8-)

  • "Killing in the name" is number ONE!

  • They made it to number one!

    HELL YEAH!

  • XMAS NUMBER ONE!!!

  • RAGE!

  • shud do this every year, same song as well, just take the piss

  • it would be funny but it would be so hypocritical of us. The point of this campaign was to stop the same shit winning year after year

  • fair enough

  • @nirvanarugby

We should get a Jimi Hendrix song to win next year lol.

  • watch?v=vZdFI-6fcTc

  • no samples, keyboards or synthesizers used in the making of this record

  • The band won two Grammy Awards: Best Metal Performance for Tie Me, and Best Hard Rock Performance for Guerilla Radio. The band also won the Hall of Fame award from Kerrang! magazine, and was nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards.

  • The band had three US Billboard number one albums with the self-titled Rage Against the Machine, Evil Empire and The Battle of Los Angeles. Stick that up your ass JOE

  • well wot the fuck did you expect, they told rage against the machine to do something so they fucked u, they werent gonna do wot you told them

  • Joe from x factor is a little faggot. He can't even sing. It'll be some shitty cover that gets to number one if this doesn't. All we want is something different, it doesn't help that x factor is one of the worst programmes on TV. At least this is a good song, and whoever says it isn't is just wrong, no arguments, you are just wrong, and that's the end of it. Now buy this song. AGHHHHH I hate the x factor.

  • @jake27990

This isnt a protest about whether a xmas song is at number one or not & those 2bands that you've listed...please... RATM didnt "pull this shit". I find it odd that you think it an attack on an 18year old when his song is about "the climb" to fame with lyrical exerpts such as "some times your gonna have to lose". Yeah...true. He deserves this no more than any other in the charts, and to suggest he does is a slap in the face to all struggling artists.

  • jake your a stupid fucker rofl..

  • @jake27990 ; rage were chosen by a radio station, they didnt think up the idea. so they don't need to "pull this shit"- im sure they are financially stable as all their concerts sell out in minutes. which also proves that they aren't has-beens.

  • @custardsocks no they werent chosen by a radio sattion they came up with it themselves on facebook so dont give me that shit . they suck ass and are sad fucking losers

  • @jake27990 "we are honoured that they have chosen our song to be the rebel anthem..."

  • Sigh... The creators of the Facebook group were Jon and Tracy Morter who picked the track "Killing In the Name" because they liked it. Not the 'sad fucking losers' themselves. Please, before commenting, check your facts.

  • @jake27990 who said the christmas number 1 had to be about christmas and RATM are not has beens you fucking asshole this campaign on facebook proofs that they not

  • I love it that Bradshaw from the Acolytes has been chosen to join on drums :P

  • LOL the ending was hilarious!!!

  • The song is about not doing what people tell you but every1 is doing what they're tolnd by the stupid campaign and buying the song.......

    That's really stupid
