Ok first of all The light you see being produced is by the chemicals in the air (nitrogen, oxygen, carbon..nd so on) if it was a pure gas plasma light would be different... if it was being passed through a hrdrogen tube then it would glow yellow if was passed through argon or neon id be orange... etc..

ROFL a Noraml Spark plug is plasma, when you see electricity ark your not seeing he electricity your seeing the superheated gas it current passes though aka PLASMA.

hi can you explain how it is called plasma as it looks just like a normal spark.curious as plasma is the answer and a vacuum to do it in chamber of piston ..valve timing needs to be adjusted to allow full explosion in vacuum..
