@TheDisneysingersfan You need to put it on a disk else the computer won't see it as a valid OS update since Snow Leopard is only available on a disk.

you can however install the previous generation, leopard, on a mac with powerpc G4 such as an iBook G4 or a powerbook G4

Hey Ethan I downloaded the exact same torrent file using Isohunt and with that I had to download Vuze also but, anyway I've had some problems it said unable to burn MBR_Install_Snow_Leopard_DVD5 the device failed to respond properly, unable to recover then I checked about repair and stillnothing. Can't I install it with the ISO file? If you download snow leopard from the apple website, it is only an installer that asks you to locate your Snow Leopard disk. Can't I select the ISO instead of the disk since that is what has snow leopard on it? And also, can I use vmware to boot SL from the ISO?

you can use any cd that holds more than 4.4 cuz the dmg file is that size a regular dvd is like 4.7 gigs that what i used no need for a DVD R + DL

@MrRocker245 if you want to start fresh do the download of the file then start from the disc first erase the info from your hard drive then install the soft ware but if you star from scratch you need the the application install dvd also with is Ilife 11 really easy to download for free

@danielzuman that's probably because your macbook doesn't support dvd burning. I have the same one and they told me that. So that may be why.
