Dark Forces is such a under rated game.

Ghen War must be the most underrated game ever. It has a completely deformable terrain, is a full 3d game (doesn't uses sprites for enemies) in the Sega Saturn (a console known for its 3d limitations), has dynamic music (changes every time there's action happening), outstanding animations (each enemy acts in a totally different way), both open and closed detailed environments (without a single orthogonal space)... I was playing it again today, and it still impresses me.

I made Immoral Cumbat.. if your wondering why... why not? ahead of its time for the use of greyscale palletes. Not one shooter had as photorealistic imagery because of the 256 color limit. Alot of drugs and porn was consumed during the making to say the least. Im suprized no videos of the boss monster is on youtube

lol I made this game... way ahead of its time because of the 256 color limit... so we went with a greyscale pallette ... 64 for the interface, 128 for the screen and 64 reserved for the drug sequences

Man...I had forgotten all about Kileak. I used to own that game...and it was AWFUL. A lot of other great FPSs that year though - Wrath of Earth, Dark Forces, Descent, Jumping Flash, Cyber Mage, Hexen, PO'ed...all classics!

Agreed about heretic, for some reason i remembered hexen as the better game, but when I re played heretic it won me over. Even more frantic than doom, and way ahead of its time. Rise of the triad was also similar.
