The celebrity player on screen left is Patty Duke Astin (a formidable actress in her day... As a child, Oscar winner for Miracle Worker 1962 and her own show about identical cousins) but she's also the mother of actors Sean Astin (Rudy, LordOfTheRingsTrilogy) and Mackenzie Astin (Iron Will). She was once married to late actor John Astin (the original Gomez from TheAddamsFamily tv show).

These were always my favorite parts of Super Password, it got to be such a problem at times that the "tape" for his mouth became a sort of running "gag".

Bert Convy may have been a good host but I would not trust him with a format like this. If anyone out there wants to be a game show host; Bert Convy is a prime example of all the don'ts. Giving away the puzzle in the many times he did it (not just these occasions) but he did many times more, is just wrong and funny. Bert is just too genial for a guessing game; he should've stuck to Tattletales. I give him 2 stars as a host but 4 stars for his ultimate blooper.

I guess he was the best available Mark Goodson could find. "Password Plus" host Tom Kennedy was already busy with "Body Language" on CBS, so what choice did he have?

this was back when game shows were fun and unpredictable. Even when a screw-up like this happens, it's still fun to watch the comedy that ensues.
