i doubt any strung out fans these days have even heard of gilman street!
i remember strung out was booked to play a basement show at a punk-house in minneapolis on their "STWB" tour. they pulled up to the house in their fat wreck tour-bus and wouldn't even get out because they didn't want to play a basement show. all of crust-core & gutter punx all heckled them and made fun of them about it.
