Thay are both excellent computers but the thing is mac can run windows while envy can't run MAC OS, mac does not get viruses as easily as the envy and it is faster. I have had both. The 5650M of the envy14 is underclocked, but still faster than the GT330M.

Both are nice notebooks, but you have more graphical power and cpu power in the 14" envy packed model than a macbook pro 15. Also the radiance screen is superiour.

So if you buy a macbook pro, it's because of Mac OS X. Some people think it's worth it, which is there right. Though I would prefer the envy 14 as a present ;)
