I think Onision confused equality with similarity, while it is true that some people are better than others at certain things the concept behind the saying "all men are created equal" lies within a person's worth not their talents. I like to think of it as "all people are different but equal"; however, Onision does have a point regarding the self-serving nature of today's society, but that's a different topic.

dude, first off, we are not created. we`ve evolved.
secondly its just merely a chance that we`re good. if everyone had multiple limbs, people with 2 limbs would be abnormal. if everyone was 'gay' , being straight would be considered wrong or something seriously faulty. its more about how we perceive things. for instance, why do all zoological species have exactly 2 eyes? because evolution failed and failed until it found that species could survive well with 2 eyes.

figurative language, metaphor, makes sayings sound more poetic. "All Men Are Created Equal" sounds a lot more poetic then "respect and treat everyone around you fairly and equally"

Just because we are not all created identical does not mean we are not created equal. You may not be as good at drawing as I am but that does not mean you can't learn to draw. Your style may not be identical to mine but that doesn't make it any less art. If people turn out to like your art better than mine, that does not make my work "not art". It's just not as popular. Races don't have "natural proclivities". Such belief is the stuff of stereotypes and role playing games.

@Godbreaker actually their are more slaves now than ever before I was reading a article i found on the internet and somthing like 15k slaves are brought into the united states every year this is due to how cheap they are you can go to some 3rd world countries and buy slaves for 150 dollars and bring em back to the usa. Their was less slaves when it was legal simply because they were very expensive. Life is paradox :|
