I always felt The Partridge's were under-rated as a musical entity. I recall one song in particular featuring Shirley's lead titled "The Whale Song". Beautiful ballad. No problem! This was so much fun, I went and clicked the link to the original show. The only ones who actually sung on the records, btw, were David Cassidy and Shirley Jones. Reportedly, Susan Dey could actually sing but Screen Gems Productions wouldn't let her....I think it was either them or Bob Claver (the show's producer).

David Cassidy was a little angry with Danny Bonaduce, at first. Danny was strumming the bass like a guitar and David corrected him. I think David could actually play.
