17 UN sanctions and no Russian veto, so the Russians approved of the sanctions.

As someone pointed out, the US "borrows" from itself but in the future the actual cost will be worth less, meaning it's not going to really cost 600 billion in today's money. Also the borrowing helped increase revenues. Most of the so called US "debt" is owed to Americans. China and other nations own treasuries, which is like interest on your bank account. It doesn't mean anything and the interest is low like 1-3%. There's no real "debt".
