sitting here...in anticipation (as i have just heard about this cover and MDB being a huge influence on me) waiting for that MDB sound to burst through the speakers. that duel guitar harmony that i fell in love with and...nope it doesnt happen.

im sooo deflated. this song is awesome but i'd at least expext someone in the band to go 'hey, why don't we make a cover of the original that doesnt actually sound like the original?' because if i wanted to listen to portsihead...i'd go and do it.

@DjTokenMusic I don't see the point in making a cover that is completly different. If they were to make it sound completly different, it wouldn't be a cover, just different music with the same words. Why would that count as a cover? I liked the fact that they stayed true to the original, yet incorporated their own style, in a way, into the music. I think Aaron's voice and the violin make it different enough. Sometimes I like this cover better and sometimes I like the original better.

I wouldn't say that any version is better.. both keep the melody, though there's a different voice and effects. This is not one of the best MDB songs anyway, not exactly their style.

i fucking hate volume equalisers. anytime the guitar or vocals stop, the drums (which sound programmed btw, another thing i hate) increase in volume. volume of any instruments should not go randomly up and down like that.
