Harrison comenzó su balada "Beautiful Girl" en 1969, trabajando para un disco de Doris Troy, con una guitarra de doce cuerdas "muy buena" que le prestó toda una tarde Stephen Stills. Escribió la música y sólo una primera estrofa, pero no sería sino hasta 1976 cuando la retomó, dedicándola a Olivia.
