I love my iPod touch, but it sure as hell isnt a gaming device.

I had a PSP, it was 500 times better at playing games than the iPod, only reason I sold it was because all I used it for was music and movies, so I got a Touch its much smaller.

Accelerometer and touchscreen is still gimimcky IMO, it may get better in the future, but at the moment its still second best.

@acidplaypro First touchscreen phone was from LG if you've forgotten. Don't talk about old hardware because when Iphone was released it had only a 2MP camera. Back in 05 I had a phone with a 2MP camera and it was cheaper. The only good part of Iphone is the availability of apps. Apple as a company are very propriety and would make everything to take money from you. You can't change batteries as well. Take a look at samsung. For the same price you can get a 12MP phone with better CPU and ram.

People need tactile feedback for gaming. Buttons. You need to feel what you press.

Touchscreen only devices obscure part of the screen with buttons and you obscure it further by putting your big fat fingers on the screen.

Accelerometer gaming is a gimmick. Tilting your head with the phone while driving or shaking it like a retard is not fun at all.

The iCrap is not a gaming device and there is no argument that can support such a statement.

First of all: The PC wasn't supposed to be a gaming platform when it was first made, and yet wind up becoming one over the year. Same thing happened with the iPhone and iPod Touch. Second: Just because it isn't like traditional handhelds, doesn't mean it can't count as one.

Yes. Yes, I did. Apple even advertises the iPod Touch(/iPhone) as a computer. Most phones are worthy enough to be a computer anyway, regardless of size. You can do the same tasks as you would on it these days as you would a normal computer or laptop. That includes being able to play games, weather console like or not.

And I have tried an accelerometer games. Have a few on me right now that make use of the feature, if I tell it to.
