  • No jet engine sound will ever match the glorious roar of a Rolls Royce/Packard Merlin, an Allison V-1710, a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 or Bistol Centaurus. This is real MUSIC in an engine, rather than sound or noise... No way am I a Mustang fan, but I do love this symphony.

  • Sweet sound sweet plane and

I think alot nicer looking that the D model Stang's,

Yea,,, 51 B,'s and C,'s are really cool,'

  • according to the Mustang list there are a few more C models flying these days.

  • the B and C the are the same, only the B was built in Inglewood California and the C was built in Dallas Texas

  • If it's Kermit Weeks' plane, then it's a C. B's and C's are identical, just made at two different plants.

  • Its sort of a mess-up, because the canopy on this C-model looks exactly like the one in the B-model.

  • ya this p51c is owned by kermit weeks at fantasy of flight

  • Wow! I love the sound of that Merlin... I didn't know they had any C model Mustangs flying anymore, let alone in 332nd FG markings. Thanx for posting this video!

  • Yes as far as i know this is the only one of the c series still flying. watching this aircraft fly in person is amazing, with its agility and the sound of the 12 cyl. merlin. thanks for watching, and check out the other vids of it at startup and flying.

  • Beautiful sound. None other like the P-51 Mustang! Very cool that they used a grass airfield rather than concrete.
