I live in the western part of Denmark (far away from Copenhagen) and yes I'm a "Danish" citizen.
Lol I agree that the Izod Center stinks. Havn't been there though, but on TV it lookes very old and dark inside even after it's renovation. The atmosphere doesn't seem very electric when the Nets play. The loudest sounds you hear are when Gary Sussman yells "did you see VC?" It would be nice to see more fans come to the games too.
It doesn't surprice me. After all they've got 9 new faces on the roster. It will take some time for them to learn to play with each other. However, I like many of the new additions and I think the Nets can be a lot better than many people think.
Here in Denmark most of us are able to watch one game a week (ABC sunday) along with the NBA action show. I'm very thankful for that. A coulple of years ago no channels in my country showed any basketball at all. The NBA still NEVER gets mentioned in our sports news. It doesn't really make sence, cause basketball has gotten a little more popular here lately. I subscribe Nets basketball games and have done so ever since VC came to the team. Can hardly wait for the upcoming season.
Oh that stinks you only get one game per week, but probably in 2012 Olympics in London, basketball is going to shoot up in popularity!
Vince Carter is an elite player, but if you watch Nets @ Toronto Raptors, he is hated. Chants of "VC SUCKS!" and "BULLSH*T!" and loud boos come on every time he touches the basketball. He left Toronto in a bad way, because he didn't try during the last years. He stopped driving, dunking, other things.
Yeah that hurt a lot to see. I think it's extremely disrespectful and childish of the fans in TO to boo him after all he has done for the city, especially off the court. The Raptor fans need to get past that and forgive Vince. He is a great person and decerves nothing but respect for what he has done in his career.
Your economy in the states has actually effected ours as well. As far as seeing Europe, I can tell you that London is great. There are so many beautiful places to watch and people seemed very nice. The only negative: traffic! But definately worth a visit. Berlin, Barlecona and Paris are great as well. I hope to visit the US to watch VC and the Nets again
Oh since you live in NY I can understand that you are used to the traffic. I live in a small village with about 200 people, so London felt very caotic to me. But eventhough you've got traffic and a lot of people everywhere over there, you still have the opportunity to go and watch the Nets play:-) Do you attend some of their games?
Actually I do, maybe one a season. All the games are broadcast on TV here. *I feel bad for you, since you only get one game a week and there is about 27 games a week* :(
I hate the Nets arena though, especially at halftime and after the game. Everyone leaves, and you can't move. It takes about an hour before you can finally reach the exit.
What town are you from? Being ignorant, I only know of Copenhagen, sorry. Is it politically correct that people from Denmark are "Danish?"
ja det var virkelig en oplevelse! Var meget i tvivl om Vince Carter kunne spille pga. den muskelforstrækning han pådrog sig i Paris..så det var superfedt at se ham være med :-)

That's great that I'm not alone...
How many NBA games do you receive on TV there in Europe? I suspect very few :(

You're absolutely right. I agree that Toronto fans should show some respect because VC is the one who had put the Raptors on the map.
Maybe I should check out Europe, everything here in the USA is falling economic wise.

Yea I've been hearing that European and Asian markets are crashing because of the US's downfall.
Haha, I'm from New York City, so I know traffic. We have to deal with 18 million people in only about 45 kilometers!
I have been to London before, and I found it really great and interesting. I tried to go to Paris, but we had so little time.
