They were both kidnapped by Michael Devlin. The one guy, Shawn, was with him for 4 and a half years. He was able to keep him so long by brainwashing the hell out of the guy. Basically, the first 30 days he spent being brutally raped while the guy videotaped it and the kid screaming and crying for him to stop. While the guy was at work, the kid spent the whole time tied up on a couch with duct tape over his mouth.
