  • They still show this advert in the UK from time to time, but normally in the autumn months coming up to christmas. I think the last time I saw this ad on TV in the UK was in November 2009. In a kind of way like the old coca cola advert that's repeated every year, you know christmas is on its way :)

You always know christmas is coming just a few weeks away if and when you see this advert, normally. I think the last time I saw this ad on TV in the UK was in November 2009. • why are all the kids white in this advert and geoffeys got a little child labour law schem going on under that roof

  • Bleedin' heck Basildon's on there too, well we couldn't forget sunny Basildon could we, heard they want to turn basildon into Essex's answer to Hollywood, did anyone else hear about it

P.S At least you you know Toys R Us always cared about Essex

  • I hope this commercial never dies. The start with the driving on the road and the stars above are forever embedded in my childhood memory as "Christmas time!!!"

I just seen this on tv a few mins ago and had to find it on youtube, I'm glad they are using it again. It's magic.

  • 20 years on my nearest Toys R Us is still nearby Brent Cross Shopping Centre

  • Well we haven't even got one in Cornwall! nearest one is Plymouth and its 2009!!!

  • takes me back this makes me wna be oung again

  • I remember this, they used for many years but I dont remember it mentioning france and germany at the end.

  • If I had commissioned this jingle, I would have paid the composer DOUBLE. It is EPIC!!!

I like the way the advert isn't actually selling anything more than how cool Toys R Us is. No products, no prices, no hard sell.

  • The Wood Green branch is gone, but is replaced by the Old Kent Road (Bermondsey/Peckham) store in South east London, my nearest store in fact.

  • i saw this and remember it but i was born in 1989.

  • But our Portsmouth branch isn't on there! So it had to have been pretty early.

  • LOVE IT :D aint seen this advert for 14 yrs thankyou so much xxx

  • Where is the Teesside Branch at the end credits?

  • That's probably refering to the one at the Metro Center now.

  • I thought they were refering to Metro Center but that was also listed, my apoligies. The Teeside store is in Stockton on Tees.

  • CHILD LABOUR!!!!

  • Didn't know about their open policy on child labour...

  • The names at the end are all towns and cities in Britain which have a Toys R Us. Nice to see one featuring Gloucester, my local Toys R Us...

  • Must be later than 1989

The 1 at Leicester was at Fosse Park which Fosse Park wasent opened until 1992!

  • I no and the Croydon one never opened untill '97

  • NO! This ad was from 1989, if you look closily, the Croydon one is listed. So it opened before 1997.
