our childs school held a fundraiser for the victims of this day, i gave about $50 , and when i was leaving to go and put my baby down for a sleep at home, there were two mothers there, i asked them if they were going to donate, they asked what for?, i told them to help the victims of black saturday, and they laughed (WTF) , AND SAID ' OH I THOUGHT THAT WAS LAST WEEK!!!! it was two days after the fires....... they are no longer my friends. HOW CAN SOMEBODY LAUGH ABOUT IT?????? unbelievable.

it was hell on earth. i was there in the middle of it. The heat was unbearable,, at 55degree heat tho, what can you do? the smoke made the sky black...it was litterally BLACK SATURDAY you couldnt see and it stung your eyes just by been outside...im not kidding. Hlel on earth is the only way to describe it. R.I.PA to all of my mates ww died and the rest of the people who ed.

The CFA are the heroes who put their lives on the line and I know one of our crews ended up fighting for their very survival because they became trapped. Over half our CFA lost their own homes while they were saving ours, how unselfish is that. They are NOT a redneck anything. You need to get facts straight.

I was In melbourne when these terrible bushfires happened and it was really really bad we got 46.4 degrees on that day northly winds almost gale forced winds it was a recipe for disaster and it was soo smokey that day and the next day it was truely black saturday R.I.P all 200+ people who couldent survive it

Global warming is something that happens over time and we are only just realising it now. Slowly things happen and events happen on a more dramatic scale. This is not just at home but all over the world, humans cant keep up with nature as this fire proved. Too many lost there lives and our way of life must change. Rebuild the homes and use solar power, wind power, try prevent the next major disaster, or slow down its chance of happening again. We must change, and now is a good time to start.
