I guess Jazz was very popular in early 90's. Madonna released decent jazz album "I'm Breathless". Whitney put jazzy sound with twist/swing in this song. Anyway 'i'm Knocking" is very cool track
On the humorous side, the next time you write the lyrics to a Whitney song, you better not forget the "oh lawd" phrase. A must-have in every Whitney song. Haha.
Whitney still a soprano not just a first soprano in this clip. Her highest is A5 in this clip and she probably goes higher but it cuts off at the end. Whitney always belts higher notes at the end of recordings,
Love this song

She has, like, the best voice ever. She sounds like a very polished Gospel singer.

There she is and now she isn't. Whitney is a HUGE Mezzo now.

Truly a sleeper! The view count is less than 1,000 considering a big Whitney hit has over a million views!

This is one of the best sleepers from my favorite Whitney recording - I'm Your Baby Tonight.
She sings in all kinds of ranges. Simply, love it.

Whitney Houston used to have such a Soprano range. She hit C#5, Eb5, E5, F#5, and G5/G#5 here in full voice.
