This happened to me when I was playing cash game at Borgata @ Atlantic CIty. I was dealt QQ in early position with AA and KK behind me, but no one went all in and I flopped a set. Got the KK out of the flop and the turn was a King! I almost had a heart attack in the showdown when I won a $400 pot (it was a 1/2NL table).
I tend to think that you should play KK like AA. Sure you might be up against Aces but that only happens 1/11 when you are holding Kings. If you end up folding Kings because you suspect your gonna be up against Aces then your gonna throw Kings away to Jacks, Queens and AK. I don't believe that folding Kings is ever a good move, that guy was just playing stupid tight, you don't win tournaments by throwing away pocket kings.
@pulpfictionost 52 cards in the deck. you know 2 are kings. Therefore mathematically (not taking bets and tells into account) the odds of another player having a pair of aces is 4/50 * 3/49 which is roughly a 1 in 204. Of course you can assume if someone is representing a hand they're not going to have a lot of the possitble hands... where did you get 1 in 40.8 from?

This happened to me when I was playing cash game at Borgata @ Atlantic CIty. I was dealt QQ in early position with AA and KK behind me, but no one went all in and I flopped a set. Got the KK out of the flop and the turn was a King! I almost had a heart attack in the showdown when I won a $400 pot (it was a 1/2NL table).

I tend to think that you should play KK like AA. Sure you might be up against Aces but that only happens 1/11 when you are holding Kings. If you end up folding Kings because you suspect your gonna be up against Aces then your gonna throw Kings away to Jacks, Queens and AK. I don't believe that folding Kings is ever a good move, that guy was just playing stupid tight, you don't win tournaments by throwing away pocket kings.

@pulpfictionost 52 cards in the deck. you know 2 are kings. Therefore mathematically (not taking bets and tells into account) the odds of another player having a pair of aces is 4/50 * 3/49 which is roughly a 1 in 204. Of course you can assume if someone is representing a hand they're not going to have a lot of the possitble hands... where did you get 1 in 40.8 from?

I'm going out on a limb here but I think this is the best poker hand ever. AA vs KK vs QQ pre-flop. KK makes at that time a fantastic fold. Flop lands a K. Pretty sick. Then Q hits the river and the weakest hand wins the pot. The drama!!
