  • "the inherent difficulty is that in order to interact with other people, you have to concede an intersubjective reality, which is not a reality in which things exist in their own right, but a reality in which your ideas become more or less compatible with the other person "

  • I think he´s great - thanks for posting!!

  • anyone: Why does he think that what mystical thought produces is relevant .... is there more to it than them being poetically likeable? What is in his opinion the value of mystical thought... if it is soooooooooooooooo important? I'd be happy if anyone could answer.

  • @ fruitsofescapism

  • explore it yourself, the only important thing is your own experience with it. If you dont prejudge the whole construct of mystcism, then you are able to assess the functionality and the sense, which it could make.

But its more a emotion based way of insight, not a rational one....so it is hard to explain it with words. Search for "hermetic"

  • @fruitsofescapism Glasersfeld is just copying Rousseau really. He is saying the exact same thing, as Rousseau did in the 18th century. By the mystical thought, he is talking about the great unknown, that we all have inside us. We are hiding this, because we are taught to learn with other people, and not to think for ouselves, which is what Glaserfeld is criticizing. It also sums up what it really is, to be a real constructivist. Sorry for my bad english.

  • Yes! Thanks for this video - one of the great shining stars of Radical Constructivism. I would love to all of this interview and a lot more. Wonderful!!!
