Game looks good, but im so sick and tired that EVERY army game needs to have Russians or The Middle East as enemy. @kokfah keep in mind everything before ace combat 6 was PS2 exclusive so many fans (including myself bought a PS3 expecting the next ace combat coming to the PS3 ) when namco decided to make ace combat 6 an xbox exclusive this really was a bad move on their part they didn't make the money they originally anticipated so making the assault horizon for PS3 and XBox 360 is a win win for everyone don't you agree?

They should just stop making experiments. Get someone who writes a cool and entertaining story, take a lot of todays fighter airplanes (that you can fly) and epic battles just like in Ace Combat 6. They could get a sea battle where you need to lift of from an air craft carrier (they could use the new british one which is being developed) and fire exocet missiles at an enemy battleship -use the iowa class or something. This Ace Combat has cool elements like the B1&B2 but its just too unrealistic

Played the whole game. This is by far the worst ace combat ever even ace combat 3 was better than this. By comparison in this you can't fly the plane as easy as the old games also you are not really briefed on your next mission before you select a load out also when it comes to dogfighting you almost always have to enter something called dfm which stands for Dumb Fucking Mode cause in the end you don't really fly a lot in this game the plane chases and flys for u. This game is Ace Combat in the same sense that Call of Duty is Battlefield. I played it, and not only could I not get into the gameplay, but the storytelling wasn't as good. I mean, if I hadn't heard Yuri Lowenthal doing a poor impression of a Russian accent, I'd never have believed it was really Ace Combat.

I understand the need to evolve, but this game has none of the feeling of an Ace Combat title. It's like a bastard child of HAWX and the Modern Warfare series, in my opinion.

As a stand-alone flying game, it's pretty good but as an Ace Combat game, it sucks. No free flight mode, the hangar view mode sucks, the HUD is so tiny it's completely useless, same with the mission map, the game limits your aircraft selection for each mission, the helicopter controls suck, the crappy in-your-face camera angles are annoying, dogfight mode takes all the strategy and skill out of the dogfights, and basically everything that made Ace Combat great is not in this game.

I was worried about this. You can tell it looks different in the trailer too. I'm a long time Ace Combat fan yet haven't managed to pick up this new one yet. To be honest after my own skeptical reasoning and the testament of those like F14ace I think I'm a little happier with my 60 dollars now. The trailer is awesome and I don't mind the change of style and tone of the Story but you absolutely cannot shit where you eat and therein in is what they are doing if they ruined gameplay.
