Yea fuckin right. My blaster 700 gets 122 hp. Acceleration wise to 50, it would rape the shit out of all your couches, so shut up don't even try to argue.
Dude sorry but ur ski is slooow at best.......my 2008 RXT-X (255HP) would kill it even before I added a stage 1 Riva Racing kit. My sons regular 2007 RXT (215HP) would also eat your lunch so trade that thing in and get a real COUCH!
Dude.. Your kidding right? The Rotax 782cc puts out 110hp and it has much more in it with mods. This ski would have been competitive in the mid 90s. Not now.
basically it is a direct copy of a polaris virage or it is just a polaris virage with new decals and a different company that owns what polaris had left over when they stopped making skis/
The WaveRider X700 GT is a 700 c.c. unit with a full 95 horsepower! This horsepower to c.c. ratio has never been beaten! The closest is the Yamaha 700 engine @ about 85 H.P. ALSO NOTE: the X700 GT is completely unmodified & has no supercharger!
you stand up guys are crazy. I have a yamaha 1200 sit down and I love the comfort and the fact that I don't have to ballance. I would love to try a stand up because they look like alot of fun but take alot more skill. I can stand on one side of my 1200 and it still wont tip over, its my lazy man ride. LOL!!! much respect for the stand up!
Buy one you won't regret it! I went out and bought a yamaha superjet w/o ever riding or even seeing one in person. Best money I'v ever spent, no joke. If they ever stop making them I'll buy another and stick it on the shelf for the future.
Only because it uses a bigger engine. No shit. Thats how you get more power and speed. Anything thats faster will have a "but" in there but its lighter, but it's more powerful. This jet ski is pathetic. 85hp?/ WTF?
Hey, sethnol, I was wondering when someone would finally say something to counter those who like to do nothing but leave complaining "wise assed" comments!
Long live BOTH; the stand-up AND the sit down models of Personal Watercraft ! The industry needs all the help it can get!
first off it looks like every other sea-doo and waverunner out there. so its nothing new. second it takes no skill to ride. you sit down, pin the throttle and whip the handlebars around. i hate it when these newbs try to ride it like its a freestyle machine. if you wanted to stand up and jump then buy a standup dont be an idiot. what happened to stand up skis? the water is being taken over by sofas with jet pumps.
listen you ass hole! stand up skis are awesome. but the bigger sit down skis have more power. ive never seen a standup beat my honda fx12. so y dont you go suck your thumb and cry to momma cuz i hate to break it to u but bigger is better on the water and stand ups are out of style!
if you know anything about stand ups they are way less stable at high speed. a JS550 designed in the '80s thats been fully moded out is only capable of 50-55mph and it would scare the shit out of you. with stand ups its all about low end punch not top speed.
Who gives a shit about what's "out of style".. Stand ups will always be taken more seriously in the PWC industry. I've never seen runabout racing on TV, Nor have I seen freestyle on TV. Because they aren't worth watching. They take no skill.. It's all the ski's power, you don't even have to balance.
how are standups out of style please inlighten us, because apparently the rest of us that ride stand ups are out of style, when have u seen professional 2/3 seaters? i havent but who knows i only ride a stand up, and by the way bigger is not always better on the water
No way stand ups are out of stile. Most of the top companies are making new models again. Those things look so dam fast. Only problem is that I would need two of them, one for each foot to get my 6 foot 4 inch 300 pound big ass out of the water. lol. Thats the reason I ride a 1200 three seat.
Standups are not out of style. The market is just much less. Most of the people that buy jetskis are family. They want a big jetski that multiple people can ride and tow tubers/skiers. If your the athletic type and you were to ride a standup a couple times, you would NEVER want to ride a 750lb sit down again.

You should not be stating things as "fact" when you do not know, or understand any of the circumstances surrounding your statement. A "knock off"; is an indication of something illegal, illigitimate, or stolen. The WaveRider X700 GT is none of those things. Whenever we are asked who the designer is, we disclose the information. You can see that for yourself by looking at the statement made on the first page of the comments. I am running out of room here, more to follow............
Additionally, Polaris Industries has completely dissolved their marine division & there are no plans to re-enter into the boating market. We are not building a unit that is a "cheap" copy of another one currently being produced; we are CONTINUING the SAME unit, now being marketed under a new name in the U.S. We will be the only ones doing it here. If there are any units sold in the United States by any other name that resembles what we are manufacturing; then THOSE units will be illegal.
We are a registered boat & Personal Watercraft manufacturer through the U.S. Coast Guard & the Environmental Protection Agency. Any other unit that may appear in the future to be similar, by someone else; will not have the Certifications & Hull Identification Number REQUIRED to make it be legally sold to, & registered by; the consumer. Thank you for your question & Have a great day, XL1200LTD !
I made no statement at all, both were questions, notice the squiggly thing after each sentence?
thanks fo responding in the manner you did, you clarified a few interesting points. So, do you manufacture these watercraft from scratch in the United States of America? by this I mean hull, engine, componentry.
No, it didn't sound familliar, so i looked into it & found their web page on an international trade site. Sure enough, it shows a "doctored" photograph of a Polaris Virage. Many of these companies will do things like that. They also claim it to be E.P.A. approved (which it isn't) I will send a message to you with the link for it.
Basically it all points back to the old saying; "BUYER BEWARE". Many of these companies, including the one you mentioned, are actually not manufacturers, but international import / export TRADERS. They act as brokers or "middlemen" between the real manufacturer & potential international buyers. A lot of these companies are very dishonest & have only one thing in mind: to sell as much as they can to anyone who pays them. They don't care about parts inventory & have no desire to give a warranty.
Not all of these trade companies are like that, but there are enough of them to give a bad impression of the ones that are trying to do a legitimate good business. We have contracted with the holder of the hull & deck moulds to cast them for this coming 2009 season & build the Personal Watercrafts here; in the U.S. The individual components come from a variety of places throughout Asia, Europe & America. We directly control the final production of the Watercraft from the individual parts.
That is the way it's done with pretty much all of the Powersports manufacturers. Even automobile manufacturers don't make their cars without relying upon other specialty manufacturers who's sole existence is for the purpose of creating one or more types of parts that are used by the various O.E.M's for final production plant assembly. It is only in this manner that a manufacturer can bring their products to market, otherwise it would end up costing many times more than the consumer could afford.
You call that fast ?? what a snail.anybody can sit and pull the throttle, my stock stand up can out run that in flat water.nothing new that i see. long live the stand up !!!
It is unsafe & uncomfortable for the general population to use stand ups that go excessively fast. Thats why most people who do not intend to do "trick riding" will prefer a sit down model like ours for a stable ride. A stand up is the choice for people who prefer to do the stunt riding & by themselves.
I dont do stunt riding, I prefer the challange of the stand up, I have been riding them since 1985 ! blieve it not, i have seen more
sit downs swap fiberglass than stand ups. the
problem i see is that due to you need less trainning to use a sit down that some of the general population ( not all ) are just going full speed and decide to make a figure eight or a quick turn with out looking around.
I have seen it ! Not saying that all sit down riders that way. Just a stand up fan!!
im kind of confused, has FiberClassic never seen old jetskis like early 90's model polaris sl780s that go that fast... not any difference really except newer still a jetski right?
Actually; the WaveRider X700 GT Personal Watercraft is based upon the design originally created & marketed by Polaris Industries, as a Polaris Virage. The Virage has reverse & the Freedom does not.
