  • Yeah. This helped.

  • legal...

  • I saw this one! Argh! Can't post a link, what's wrong with youtube?! Anyway it's at ledsequencer ,dot, com

  • What chip number is that? So i can do a google search

  • @plazmafeld 4017 decade counter

  • @legoclockfreak710 The IC isn't a 4017. A 4017 has 16 pins, and this is a PIC16F88 IC with 18 pins. The advantage of using this chip is that the clock function can be built in. If you used a 4017, you would need a separate clock source like a section of a 40106 connected as an astable multivibrator. However, the 4017 would be able to sequence ten LEDs (which is two more than shown here).

  • @plazmafeld just as an fyi its best to connect clock enable(CE) to ground!

  • nice, yeah need to get a motherboard, right now its trial an error.

  • XD *burst out laughing* OMG ITALIAN ACCENT!!!!!!! XDDDDDDDDD LEDs awesome./

  • ma cquello é un microchip ????????

  • Thankyou. Very informative website. Ideal for someone starting out with PIC's. Much appreciated :)
